Events all the time, yet divisions seem less deep. Maybe it's just impossible to have a 7 fight win streak with 3 consecutive top 10 wins these days en route to a title shot.
The cards have amazing main events and we have multiple per month now but they aren't stacked enough. Hell, Werdum, Lawler, Rockhold, and McGregor are champs, some of my favorite fighters yet something is missing.
I think it's the manipulation of contenders by the UFC that subconsciously doesn't resonate with fans. Sometimes it blows up in their face and we're left with awesome surprises like Werdum and Lawler as champs but then I feel sick about guys like Arlovski jumping through flaming hoops and getting shot down. Sometimes I don't feel the most deserving guy is the guy getting a shot but rather the opportunist fighter.
Reebok shorts are white washing personality. Imagine Chuck Liddell sans iconic iceman shorts.
I have not watched MMA for 4 years, until just recently. Rizin dragged me out of my slumber, and i really enjoyed it.
Then, due to the new interest I watched Robbie/Carlos, and saw one of the best fights of my life.
I lose interest in most of the UFC cards a few years ago, but if the standard I saw yesterday for title fights is relevant, my interest is back.
You motherfuckers make me sick. How quickly you forget of the days where all you had was ppv once every few months.
Now you have dedicated channels to mma and pretty much some type of mma related program almost nightly.
Go back 10 years and then come back here and cry about uniforms, cutmen, weed smokers and whatever else bullshit you guys wanna get your panties In a bunch with all your MMA content.
UNBELIVABLE

As much as you people make compelling points i believe that mma fights are fun to watch when they are exciting regardless of who's involved. Watch an event from early prelims to main event and tell me that the ufc is boring. Hell the ufc isn't the only show in town watch some glory kickboxing some bellator, one championship or WSOF instead
I don't watch whole or many events anymore just simply because I don't have the time.
That isn't to say the amount there is now is bad because it is not but with a 2yr old son sleep and awake time is valuable so spending 3hrs watching fights very rarely happens so I find myself watching the guys I know the following day but that gets less and less as I'm not watching enough of the rest of the cards to follow anybody new.
Over all though I get to watch a shit load more than I used to just in bite size chunks so can't complain.
There are too many UFC events per year for me. It's not too much mma because even a few years ago I was watching multiple orgs from the big leagues to all the mid level promotions constantly, but for me the UFC should be the big time and I just feel like they let in so many average to below average fighters so they can fill out their cards. I used to love the mid level promotions because I would be able to watch some good prospects on their main cards and follow them into the UFC. Now I feel all the decent talent is in the UFC, so I don't really watch the mid level promotions any more. That being said there are too many cards with too many unknown fighters for me to sit there and find out who the real prospects are and who to follow and get excited about when the guys I'm starting to like are beating sub par guys and lose to someone who actually is a decent prospect. That has really turned me off mma, also if I sit back and wait for these guys to work their way into the top 10 before I follow them I feel like I've missed out on their path and don't seem to get too excited to watch them fight even though they might be the real deal.
