Im just wondering. Since starting bjj back in 2001. I have always refused wearing macho mma shirt cuz I hate talking to retards. They attract assholes who say" Oh I train with royce gracie etc" Trash. I dont know maybe its me. Anyone else not like wearing that trash? oh yea. Fuck the UG and fuck 10ers and fuck grammar

No Skullz, no glitter, no foil.
Nothing that mentions fighting or being tough.
And I will not wear them to a bar.
I have one Affliction shirt I got for free years ago.
It's a tank with soldiers with skull heads. Reminded me of a Megadeth album cover for some reason.
I wear it when I fistpump in the clubs.
I have been given perks such as shirts at MMA shows.I wear them simply because I am thankful & it helps them advertise.

I dunno where you guys are hanging out, but I've never encountered anyone acting anything close to what you described despite me or them wearing a mma t shirt. 
Agreed. No chains, no skulls, no studs, no demons, no demented dogs, nothing shiny. The ufc's new line with just the little octagon logo is pretty cool. Most people wouldn't know what it was unless you told them, which I like.
Dont wear any other them, ever.

Basic shirts with MMA sponsored brands work for me.
I own everything from Premier Fighter to Silver Star, with some older UFC ones in the mix. Not one single Tapout or Affliction shirt is owned however.

I like most dethrone shirts, and I buy all the Aldo ones to support. Don't really wear them though. I wear my UG shirt because I got it for free and it's comfy and not too lame.

as far as mma/bjj related stuff I pretty much only wear vxrsi gear and some shirts from tournaments ive worked.
Everynow and then when Ill rock my abu dhabi staff polo if nothing else is clean lol.
dont really feel the need to advertise like alot of people do.
I do love my sakuraba vs royce "flight" T from vxrsi though haha.
I don't wear anything with the skulls or that "Affliction" style. It's not because I think I'm too cool or the people who wear them are stupid or anything, I just don't personally like them very much.
I do have a few MMA t-shirts, but none like that.

disbeliever - Stopped wearing any mma/bjj shirts in the early 2000's once it started catching on with people who did not train/fight.
it use to be you would see a BJJ/MMA shirt on someone walking around, and you both kinda did the "oh shit there is someone like me!" glance. Maybe even start friendly chatting.
Then TUF happened and people went to walmart to buy shirts. Which is cool because it helps the sport grow and makes money, but to me it takes away the uniqueness and small nit bond feeling
