Apparently having a house on the corner brings it down tremendously.

Our house went on the market Tuesday morning. Already the lowest price in the neighborhood (to account for the corner). We have had 20 showings, no offers, and we can't move our fucking house off this corner.

I would think a corner fetch a premium price. Phone Post 3.0

In a market that is drowning in buyers with very few houses, we had 25 people walk through our house and 10-15 feedback responses complaining about the corner/street.

But as they say, it only takes 1 and we found our 1. Entered into contract this afternoon.

I lowballed the fuck out of our current home in 2008, and they accepted.  Some of my neighbors are still pissed cuz I got it nearly $100K below what they thought (and $80K under asking price).  Could probably make $300K on it today, if we wanted to sell

Our cunty neighbor down the street parks his fucking RV in front of his house with an electrical cord running across the sidewalk to provide power to whoever the fuck is living in it.  Doubt it brings the property value down, but I felt like bitching about it so here I am.

Very similar to my story. Asking 280 for a quick sale following what appear to be a nasty divorce, got it for 200. You can't get anything in my little area for under 350, more like 450. Rarely does one even come up for sale, usually passed down to family. Phone Post 3.0

Oh, and I live in the country. Chickens and boats just bring up the values, lol. I went a step farther and put llamas and a big green house in my front yard too. Phone Post 3.0

I was always under the impression that a corner lot was desirable, especially in a neighborhood. You have more room and you aren't sandwiched between two neighbors. Phone Post 3.0

We aren't doing that well, but we bought it as a short sale in 2007 for $54,000 less than it first went on the market for and $39,000 less than what the first owners bought it for as a new build. Our contract today was $67,000 over what we paid for it 9 years ago.
