Anyone try fasting with iifym

I'm on day 10 and I must say it's very good so far here's what I've been doing.1800 cal or less using my fitness pal app to track everything lifting weights daily and added a 16hr to 20 hr fast after my last meal of the day following the iifym diet.anyone else using this approach for weight loss

There isn't really any reason why it wouldn't work for strictly weight loss purposes. Now depending on when you workout, performance wise you might not be as strong or have as much energy during the workout due to the fast but that is going to be dependent on your situation.

For me when I'm trying to lose weight I end up fasting from 900/930 pm till about 1130 am/ noon (not the full 16 hr fast but its close enough for me) just because that's how my schedule works out in the mornings but I don't workout till 6 pm so I've had a few meals in me before I workout.

No. I'm eating 4000 calories per day.

I actually just switched to Keto with 1 carb day allowed but keeping the fasting

Carb Nite?

Ya carb night is awesome I couldn't quite make it to the weekend so I guess I'm kinda carb cycling but it's working very fast with the intermittent fasting but now I'm also following the kinobody Greek god style program I think it's perfect for MMA and Combat training/bjj lifestyle

I have never tried fasting using IIFYM, but I did spend New Years weekend fasting. I started Friday evening, and ended Monday morning.

I only consumed about 1000 calories over the entire weekend. Just some liquids and a small amount of liquid protein. I consumed 120 calories at a time, 4 x per day. So it was not so much a total fast, as extreme calorie reduction. My daily average calories is usually around 2,800.

It was actually a lot easier than I expected it to be. I had not done any type of fast, or extreme calorie reduction in years. 2016 was a terrible years for me and I had picked up some bad habits. I did it more to reassert my self discipline around food then to actually loes weight etc.
