EXCLUSIVE (Part 5) | Nate Diaz on Anthony Pettis: “I’ll fight your a$$ tomorrow” | BJPENN.COM RADIO
When Nate Diaz joined BJPENN.COM Radio for a special one hour broadcast on Thursday afternoon, April 25, 2013, he had a few things on his mind, to put it mildly. Coming off of a TKO loss to Josh Thomson at UFC on FOX 7, Diaz felt that he had held his tongue for too long and needed to get a few things off his chest.
One of the issues Diaz addressed during his time on-air with George Matthews and Pedro Carrasco was Anthony “Showtime” Pettis taking to the Internet following the fight card to proclaim that he was still the best fighter at 155 pounds. Pettis, who has fought exclusively as a lightweight, will move down in weight to challenge 145-pound champion Jose Aldo for the UFC Featherweight Championship in August.
“And right after the fight, I see Anthony Pettis on the ****ing Internet talking some shit, talking about how he’s still the best lightweight out there. Didn’t you go down a weight class, where have you been? Who has he fought; you know what I’m saying? Anthony Pettis hasn’t even been fighting either, I’m the only one active fighting everybody” Diaz said.
The Stockton-bred fighter also made note of how other fights, and not just Pettis, have been touting themselves as the best based on their media exposure. Diaz made it clear that his opposition to media is indicative of why he believes he’s still a top contender at lightweight; he walks the walk.
“These ****ers are all getting blown up and they’re all like, ‘I belong here, and I do this’ because they just sit there and do good in interviews all day or something? I’m like I don’t ****ing do interviews, I fight my ass off every other ****ing month” said Diaz, touting his rigorous fight schedule.
Although Pettis’ comment may have gotten under the skin of Diaz, he made it clear that he’s not just starting trouble for the sake of picking a fight, though he’s not opposed to a fight, either.
“I fight more than anyone in the UFC, and these ****ers are, ‘I’m still the best in the lightweight division.’ Anthony Pettis, where the **** have you even been? Who have you fought? You fought Jeremy Stevens a ****ing long ass time ago, and then what- he knocked out [Donald] Cerrone? OK, that was a good job- and I’m not bad mouthing Pettis either, I think he’s great, he does entertaining shit and he fights people and he does well- but what he meant to say was, ‘OK thank God Nate’s out of the picture, now I’ll start popping off about how I’m the best lightweight’, so he can stay in the top picks like I’m out of the picture or something. No, I’m still in the mother****ing picture, and I’ll fight your ass tomorrow Anthony Pettis.”
Owned, Nate will never make it to a title fight again so side step this beef, Mr. Pettis.

What makes you so sure about that? This is like the fourth time in his career he's been on a two fight skid and guess what...He's come back better every time. Plus he's been training at team Alpha Male with the wrestlers.
Pettis can't even fight more than once a year due to injury. Doesn't sound like he trains too smart to me :)
Oh, and the middle finger is far from Nates 'best offense' ;) Get yourself "back in character" pretty boy :))
Ooooo Kill 'em.
ttt
well nates not the first guy to try to talk himself into an undeserved title shot
Pettis has had 3 awesome fights in a row but lets not forget that in his last 5, he barely squeaked by 145er Jeremy Stephens and lost to 145er Guida. If he ofught more than once a year he'd likely lose more too
Taz Styles -No personal attacks on Pettis in there...

More recently, he made Lauzon, Cerrone and Benson look like rank amateurs
Yep... Like I said, 3 awesome fights. And 1 was even over a ranked opponent.
