he is maybe b- but that is with a generous grading scale imo. no offense but he is nowhere near a top contender, and though he may complete in a major org he will never win a belt; to me that is not an a or b-level fighter.
dude the man beat kitaoka, who beat a ton of fighters... he's really damn good. Kitaoka beat GOMI and IMO gomi is still hovering around 10 as well. Those UFC's dont deserve to be on the ranking.. cuz it's all a farce. the LW lineage starts in japan with shooto ever since UFC dissolved their LW division.
the new LW div in UFC = untested besides PENN who got his claim to fame at LW by beating GOMI and UNO, 2 japanese fighters. those are his biggest wins to this day at LW.

Yep and why knees on the ground help top game specialists like wrestlers just as much as they help sprawl and brawlers.
^ knees are a big asset from sidemount and also for head and arm position (that wrestlers can get caught in when shooting but that is also a bread and butter hold in wrestling and imo wrestlers could also drag guys down with it from standing and knee).
Sakurai is better at kneeing than most though
