APEX: BERGER VS NOBLE AT COMBAT-DO

STEVE BERGER VS. DERRICK NOBLE

UFC Veteran Steve Berger to face Derrick Noble
at Combat Do Fighting Championships.

(MONTREAL, QUEBEC) – APEX Championship Fighting is proud to announce that UFC and APEX Veteran Steve Berger from St. Louis, Missouri will be returning to Cicero, Illinois on February 5th, 2005 to face off against a tough Derrick Noble. Berger will be representing Vaghi Jiu-Jitsu, Jones Boxing and the APEX On Demand Fight Team. Noble is now fighting out of Racine, Wisconsin with the Freestyle Fighting Academy led by UFC Veteran Dave Strasser.

In the main event of the first ever Combat-Do Fighting Championship, in a fight many believe was one of, if not the best MMA fight they’ve ever seen, Steve Berger and Keith Wisniewski entertained the crowd with an epic battle. Now Berger comes back to Cicero to delight the fans once again by stepping up against a very tough Noble.

Both fighters are coming off close decision losses to Keith Wisniewski who is considered one of the top North American welterweights that has not competed in the UFC. But, now both Berger and Noble are hoping to start a winning streak of their own and are ready for fireworks on February 5th.

Berger is 17-11-1 and has competed at three different occasions with North America’s premier fighting organization, the Ultimate Fighting Championships and has fought all around the world including Japan and Canada. With victories over Pete Spratt, Rich Clementi and Seichi Ikemoto, Berger is known for his extremely exciting fights and the fact that he gives 110% in each and every fight without taking any so-called easy fights.

Noble is 11-5-0 and has fought in many top organizations including Euphoria, Ironheart Crown AFC, and FCC while facing some of the top talent in the world in the welterweight division including UFC veteran Chris Lytle. Noble is known as an extremely tough fighter who also comes to fight hard. This fight is a real test for both Berger and Noble.

In an event that will also include Gideon Ray, Nick Thompson, Bart Palaszewski, Shonie Carter and Terry Martin, Combat-Do Fighting Championships is not to be missed!

Below you will find the link to Steve Berger's highlight video. I would just like to apologize in advance for some of the quality because of some technical difficulties. It also includes an interview with Berger and Mike Rogers that appeared on Fox Sports Net a few years ago.
