Apex Camp was awesome!!

Just wanted to drop in some props

Anyone who missed out on this great 2 days shame on you!! seriously it was a small group with alot of opportunities for Q+A with Carlos, Bang, Doerksen and everyone.

Definately showed guys who have aspirations of fighting MMA someday what it entails and requires. The speeches from all the instructors and Showdown Joe, especially carlos talking about waht it means and entails to be a fighter and that if you "Say I wanna be a fighter" make sure you know what that means and be prepared to make a 6-8 yr committment because most people quit after less then 2 years.

Joe Doerkson talked of being seamless and well rounded and not ever approaching MMA from the viewpoint like"Oh Im a BJJ/sub master so my striking game can be weak and I'll still win"

Truer words never said, cant wait till the next camp.

Sounds great, wish I hadn't of had an exam that day.

But of course, my memory is flawless, so my study habits can be weak and I can still pass.......

Sounds like it was an awesome camp!

You coming to Ottawa tonight Compton?

Thank you APEX Fighting for putting on an awesome camp.

Great instructors created an amazing learning environment.

Some great training opportunities for sure. All of the instructors were excellent and very approachable. A superb camp!

I'd just like to say Congrats to Team Gladiator for representing the club and Kingston well, as usual.

You guys continue to make me proud everytime you step on the mat/ring.

Great Job!!

Yeah, very well run seminar! The instructors were excellent and lots of one-on-one time to get clear instruction. Carlos, Bang, Doerksen and boxing coach Everton were amazing! Learned some very cool stuff from the Lunch n' Learn with Dr. Paul. Very good job APEX!!! These guys are first class.

Thanks Greg and everyone else who had a good time. Glad to see no serious injuries which is always my biggest concern.

This was the first time we did something like this and I'm happy with the way it turned out. The amount of talent was incredible and the instructors were great as well. I finally met Monte Cox in person and he's an amazingly funny guy. Joe Doerksen is my hero. Bang Ludwig is a superb instructor and a great guy. Carlos Newton is one of the most unique trainers around. Coach E did his thing and tried to keep up with Dirte on Saturday night. We even had a guest appearance from "The Real Deal"... lol

Look for a full recap by Joe and myself later today.

To say it was a spectacular weekend would be the understatement of the year. It was AMAZING.

I could not believe my eyes at 4:30pm, when ALL the participants, even the big boys, were still going full out, after over 7 hours of training.

Then the next day, the athletes who partipated in the Auditions completely blew the judges away. Man...it was amazing.

Look for more Auditions to happen soon. I can't wait.

I can't believe Greg Compton made it through the doors. We had security to block him, Cory McDonald, Mike Hong, Shaun Krysa, Joey from Kombat Arts...but they still made it through. APEX needs to work on their security measures...;)

An amazing weekend had by all!

A big thanks to all of those who participated in the Auditions.

Furthermore a special thanks to all 4 of our coaches, i couldn't believe the knowledge and class shown by these 4 instructors.

To sum it up, this event was a huge success and i can't wait until the next one!
