Because of all the crazy terrorist stuff going on my work decided to install a shitload of security cameras. 

For some reason they installed the live monitor at my desk (there is another monitor in the big bosses office where everything is recorded and saved)

30 security cameras. i can watch up between 1 and 9 at once and full screen any of them.

 

 

Pretty cool but I am not sure what they expect me to do. I totally understand having the cameras to record stuff that has happened (a lot of the cameras are in the parking lot and it will save us money on claims against valet) but the live feed is not going to do much in my opinion. If I see someone storming the clubhouse it will give me about a 10 second lead on calling the cops before they bust into the front door and shoot me.

In my teens I did a security job at circuit city. They had me watch cameras like that too, and what's worse is that the time was shown too.
Felt like it was 3pm for 4 hours every day.
