Are all UFC Gifs banned from the site?

Just a quick question and I'm happy to VU for an answer lol I know the GIFs are legal, but I also understand Kirik's been trying to crack down. Is it bannable to post any UFC Gifs or only Gifs of upcoming events, when Kirik makes a specific thread?

Thanks in advance for anyone who knows, particularly if a mod'll answer.

He hasn’t said anything and the rumor mill has been quiet.

Sure fucking hope he stays, and honestly it would do him good. There’s unlimited talent there, but he’s green and could use some more experience/development.

agreed. for his fourth year in college he will only finish with two years of actual experience. and those are in dramatically different scenarios.

keep me posted on rumors and whispers though. big fan of his

No PPV gifs. Phone Post 3.0

RorysBitch - well considering the "MMA of the month" UG Blog article had a gif from the T Woodley Rory Mac fight. I have no clue what the rules are now.

Considering Kirik said blues cant post gifs because he doesnt want to be held liable. Yet the UG Blog posted a gif the day after UFC 174.

So who knows?
This. I believe I seen a gif of the doctor stepping on Jamie's foot on here as well? So maybe no gifs of "action" or something odd like that. Phone Post 3.0

I'd assume that it's more of a 48hr thing. The UFC doesn't want people posting the fight finishes the night/day after the fight. On Monday, after everyone knows how they end they become less restrictive about it. Phone Post 3.0

would be nice for them to answer this if that was the case.

In Kiriks weirdest thing of the week vote thread I brought the subject up. The poster right below me brought up the app not working.

He ignored me and answered about the app. So I went back and posted about gifs again and was ignored by him again as well as another mod who were on the thread responding to other people.

I get that there are certain rules to be followed. Just wish they were clear on what is allowed and what isnt.

Im not sure he knows the answer and anything less than a definitive one on his part will cause him to get flooded with bullshit.

I assume that they asked him to stop people from posting GIF's, not wanting to get hit with a lawsuit (doesn't matter if he's right, they can outspend him into oblivion) he passes it on to the forum. I don't think he wants to write out an answer since legally he doesn't have one, but I would assume that by midweek no one cares.

I just wish he spent as much time on trolls as he does on GIF's. Phone Post 3.0

I read a few times that other sites like reddit did not have the gif ban. I would also like to know if this site is being singled out.

If they ban this giff I am blowing up the internets.

that head tho

Their biggest concern seems to be gifs of the best action immediately after an event, most notably a PPV.

I think it kind of sucks for the UG/you guys that you get pressure to not show them.. there are plenty of other places to view them and it just directs attention/traffic from here. Phone Post 3.0

If you want GIFs of the finishes, you can follow reddit.com/r/mma as you're posting on the UG. The GIFs are up there pretty quick.
