Arm-in guillotine

I've been working a lot on this technique recently, and finally one in a tournament (if a blue wouldn't mind...)

I was wondering if anyone had any advice as to how to finish the choke more often. I find it to be a more difficult technique to finish, but it's harder to escape than a regular guillotine.

Thanks!

Putting your elbow on the mat and getting your head/ torso as high up and curled close to their back helps a lot. So does your grip and hand position under/slightly to the side of their neck. Crunching up and to the side that your elbow is on the mat helps.
I think , was a while since I've done this.

i like to hit hit from 1/2 guard more,i feel like if i have a leg under they cant tripod up like the guy is in that vid right there

i talked to renzo and he says it doesn't work.

then he said something about bj penn and nutsacks and choked me out w/ an arm in guillotine.

I know Renzos school is rather notorious for their arm in guillotines. Would be interesting to ask one of them about it some time, I love this choke.
