Sit back and criticize two guys they can't beat and celebrate when those guys get Fucked out of money and their time. You shouldn't give a shit how someone else's match goes and whether or not it is entertaining. It is how they want to play the game and no one can stop them in the ring.
They fucked themselves by being boring as shit.
They were performing jiu jitsu for our entertainment; if they fail to do that because they stall, they 'get fucked out of their time and money': they knew the rules (boy: did they ever!), and got what they asked for.
When did BJJ become a spectator sport wherein the athletes have to worry about what looks/doesn't look like a boring fight? Keenan and the Miyao's don't put in the work they do "for the fans" or to "put on a good show."

If they are competing for money, they are competing to entertain someone. And when that is the case, you'd best entertain.

I was under the impression they were competing to find out who could win...
I didn't realize "we" paid them to go compete

"We" also didn't disqualify them.

The applauding says it all.

When did BJJ become a game of double guard pull and but scooting?
It became a spectator sport when people pay money to watch, you know like other sports.
Well from my armchair I can tell you it's the sheiks money
So if they are happy for a double Dq by a ref they appointed in their tournament then you should stop crying about it
I also doubt that either of those two guys spent money from their pocket on the qualifier entry fees and everything since then has been paid for so the 'losing out on money' point is nonsense
feel bad for both of them but them the rules and they deserved to be disqualified under said rules.
I do about 200 berimbolos everyday, and i thought that match was an affront to humanity.
That wasn't BJJ. It was footsies.
Those guys are in for a rude awakening at black belt. That shit won't fly.

The number of black belts in the world that can pass Paulo's guard is incredibly small.

it only takes a couple guys and your out
OP, pull guard much?
After watching part of the Keenan interview, I thought "I get that's your game. I get that you guys meet all the time in tournaments. I get that you've put in a ton of work. But when you are warned/penalized multiple times in a match, you can't be upset when you get DQ'd."
If after 30 seconds the ref stopped the match and DQd both of them that would have been a tragedy. And maybe the ref was to quick to penalize. But here's the thing, he was penalizing. They both knew it, because you could see them looking at the refs when they were getting penalized.
If an umpire in baseball has a wide strike zone, and has had it for the entire game, you can't complain when you get called looking in the 6th inning. It's been that way the entire game, and if you don't want to strike out then do something.

Maybe Gui Mendes and Laercio at Pluma, Rafa and Cobrinha at Pena, Cobrinha is turning 34 this year.
I'm sure Paulo will do just fine against everyone else.

Exactly.
