So it is being reported on some sites. Saw it announced on FightSport as a done deal.
I know Ryo Chonan has a recent victory over Matsui, and a nice win last year over Sakurai. At best, he weighs 185. Decent fighter, but not in Arona's league.
Curious as to if Arona will have to come down a bit in weight for this one, or if Chonan will beef up.
May actually see Arona bust a sub victory here.
Size mismatch. I am not sure why they (DSE), as per the norm with them, would misuse their talented Japanese fighters by pitting them against bigger, stronger fighters time and again?
It will never make sense to me.
Arona should be fighting Jackson for the #1 contender spot, not a smaller opponent like Chonan.
How about Chonan vs another 185 lber instead, give the poor guy a chance for Christ's sake! Maybe Chonan vs. Anderson Silva at 185 lbs?
They should have Chonan x Nino, that would be a good fight.
What happened to Rampage vs Arona?
arona by butt fuck rape.
Anderson is 170. Let Busta fight Ryo at 185.
I like to see Paulo Fhilo fight him. Isnt he a natural 185?
good choice. Why hasn't Paulo been back to Pride???
Now Fight Sport is reporting that it is Ricardo Almeida, not Ricardo Arona, that will fight Ryo Chonan at Bushido 3. This match up makes alot more sense.
They are also announcing Arona vs. Rampage.
Two good fights, in addition to Kondo v Silva.
rumors say Ryo vs Ricardo Almeida
