Article blasts Dana White for Shamrock diss

This isn't out of the ordinary for White, who tends to contradict himself depending on the argument he's taking at any particular time. Let me explain. Here's the line I'm referring to: "these are guys that we have been inducting that have done a lot for the sport since we've (ZUFFA) have taken over, you know what I mean?" Um, no I don't have any idea what you mean, Dana. White runs a very successful company and has plenty on his mind. Perhaps he forgot who's actually in the UFC Hall of Fame. So let's remind him some of those names.

Royce Gracie: Fought and dominated the earliest UFC days at UFC 1 through 5. Returned to fight--and lose--exactly ONE fight in the "new UFC," at UFC 60 against Matt Hughes.

Dan Severn: Built a reputation in the UFC between 1994 and 1996, before losing a bid to become the 1st ever UFC heavyweight champ in '97. After that, only ONE of his next 110 fights came under the UFC banner--and certainly NOT the "new UFC."

Mark Coleman:  1st ever UFC heavyweight champ, winning the belt in '97. I doubt the six fights he took with the UFC following that title win had much to do with his HOF status--he was just 1-5.

Ken Shamrock: Like Coleman, Shamrock did actually fight in the Dana White era. But is that what earned him a spot in the HOF? Because from what I can tell, Shamrock fought 5 times for the UFC in those magical 12 years White spoke of. He went 1-4.

Maybe he should double-check his own record books before throwing out reasons for Shamrock's exclusion. Just say it. Tell us Frank Shamrock isn't in the Hall of Fame because you don't like him. Or tell us his record isn't good enough; or that he never fought anyone. But why bother going through such a long-winded diatribe comparing him to the current inductees in the Hall when your reasoning directly contradicts the facts? Oh well...at least he didn't try to tell us that it's a fact that Junior Dos Santos gasses at the end of fights. Wait, what?
