For his first fight back. I’m a huge Cain fan and I think when he is healthy he is the most dangerous fighter in the world. That’s said I do not like this match up for his first fight back. As a fan of the sport I love it but it worries me a bit. Ngannou has stupid power and is not the person you want to get your timing and feel for the speed of the sport back against. All he needs is one clean shot. I would have much rather seen Cain fight someone where this is more margin for error in his first fight back.
Francis is dangerous but isnt he basically a less skilled but possibly more powerful version of jds? probably with worse takedown defense.

we already know francis is afraid to get taken down and dominated again.
Like Jds cain just has to avoid the huge shot(s) easier said than do right.

He is better at doing what Stipe did than Stipe is he just needs to be careful early. If Cain gets Ngannou in the positions Stipe had him in he wont just lean on him, he will finish him.
Bojack makes excellent points, if Cain (it’s a big IF) can avoid the power shot on his way in I think he dominates this fight. It’s gonna look like the Bigfoot mauling.
I think Ngannou is the perfect fight for Cain. He is a scary giant that I don’t believe has a realistic chance against Cain. He’ll likely be a 3:1 favorite, and also likely be in contention with a win, which also raises all sorts of questions inre DC.
If Cain is 75% of what he used to be, he will make it look much easier than Stipe did.
Yeah I think this is a great matchup for Cain. FN can't wrestle to save his life. Cain if healthy is the best in the division. He stops him in the 2nd and get a shot at the vacated belt against Stipe.
It's crazy to see fans thinking Francis can't wrestle or thinking that Francis' wrestling hasn't improved.
Francis stopped overreem and blaydes' takedowns with ease. Stipe wasn't able to keep Francis on the ground. Granted stipe looked good but he had to lean on Francis against the cage. He couldn't keep Francis on his back. It's tiring to keep taking down a guy of francis' size.
He's very dangerous for Cain to fight coming off a 2 and a half year layoff.

Ngannou does not have much of a chance against Cain. IMO this will make Ngannou stock go way down. I don’t like the fight for this reason.

Have to do it his first fight back, his second fight back won't be until early 2023 after he's recovered from his latest injury
I don’t know, man. A refreshed, focused, on-point Cain is a serious danger.

If Cain is anywhere the fighter he was this is a very good matchup for him. FN is very dangerous because of his ko power, but thats all he's got. Should go like the Stipe fight but Cains better in most areas than Stipe.

Cain has to be smart...if l were francis l would be practising punching the back of the head of a man shooting in.
Mexico was a long time ago but cains cardio has to be regarded as a little suspect and its been a long time since buffer screamed his name.....Werdum is under suspension for peds so who knows if that played a factor.
Francis is hot and cold lately and seems like a bit of a mental midget....he could likely psych himself out of this fight before it begins.
If Cain is still Cain, even a little slower, Ngannou will be made to look like an amatuer.
