UFC women's bantamweight fighter Ashlee Evans-Smith partners with former Bellator light heavyweight champion Emanuel Newton to demonstrate the use of a jab and side kick to set up a spinning back kick.
Not a fan of the high knee version. It becomes little more than a turning side kick.
Benny the Jet and many others had a digging variant that is more like an uppercut. (Under utilized in MMA!)
I don't even know that I would call that a 'spinning' kick, since she starts it with her back to her opponent (after the follow through on the side kick). It's more of a 'turning' kick rather than a full rotation 'spin'. That takes a lot of the power out of the kick.

Love this kick, very under utilized in MMA and modern kickboxing.
The crow land one like this on Charles Mcarthy that ruined him in that fight. Thing of raw power and beauty
