Askren vs Rogan... on BLAF....

Askren calls BLAF a “scumbag”.

I’ve heard Rogan, on his podcast, refer to BLAF as a “good dude”, “thoughtful”, etc

Who do you believe?

Ben.

Well one them has known Dana for years the other doesn't know Dana at all.

The UG is drawn to general negativity. Please do not attempt to crowbar logic into this here dialogue.

Well one of them is employed by BLAF and the other is more open to speaking his mind.

So who between the two would know the person more?the one that gets to talk to him regularly or the one that doesn't talk to him at all?

I think the truth is probably somewhere in the middle of those two opinions.

awwww ben be jaded

Dana's mom knew him his whole life.  What's she think?

Thread is about Rogan and askren

This is reasonable.

But the real truth is Dana is good to those he respects, and disrespectful to those he does not. True mobster mentality that's why he and Lorenzo got on so well

Dana is not a mobster lol.  Cue the boxercise pic,

From what I observe as an outsider they both like to be the alpha and Dana is in the alpha position to become Askren’s boss and Ben doesn’t want that to happen as much as the fans do. Dana seemingly doesn’t care for anyone that doesn’t understand he runs the show and that’s understandable, as much as some may not want to admit it Dana has contributed greatly to the growth of the sport, he gets shit for not being nice enough or as generous as some think he should be, but the UFC would have gone broke with too much generosity and short sighted behavior.

The UFC is playing the long ball and as great as Askren is as a true talent, the UFC can move forward well without him. I think they’d make great business partners if Funky was more understanding and respectful of how the relationship has to play out with respect for Dana and the UFC. Since Askren continuously insults Dana then he strains any chance for him to fight in the UFC, something that’s significant to the sport and many fans.

It’s like the Tito/Dana situation to an extent, except the UFC/Dana do not have a previous working relationship or any real communicative understanding or plans to work together.

At this point I doubt he ever fights for the UFC, we could see him in Bellator against Rory though.

Such a pity because it does appear that Askren is the closest MMA has had to a undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr. effortlessly dominant fighter that does not take any damage and lopsidedly dismantles his opposition by making them fight his fight.

He’s a pugilistic puzzle that it’d be exciting to see the UFC’s best try to solve. Nobody really chain wrestles the way he does or has the wind or mat mastery to keep pace in the grappling dimension he puts forth.

And can that person who knows him well speak his mind? If you hate your boss would you speak about it publicly ?

Yes.

Yes.

Dana has definitely done some scummy things. I guess it depends what rogan has experienced first hand, he’d probably have had a different opinion of joey diaz if he knew him during his kidnapping days

The other whishes he was employed by BLAF and more likely a case of sour grapes.
