I am hoping to purchase the PS5 soon, I have never played Assassin's Creed before but I'm reading amazing reviews on it.
For anyone who knows is it a good game to buy?
Something you can jump in and understand without playing previous games?

Is it slow paced like red dead or fast paced?
Haven't played odyssey or Valhalla yet but played most of the other ones, they are all pretty good games. It doesnt really matter if you have never played the earlier ones but if you have it is a great story line for the series
I prefer it to Odyssey, alot of the gameplay reminds me of older AC games ( assassinations, blending in crowds etc). Ive got about 12 hours in,, its beautiful to play

I’m not really sure.
I can see where Valhalla will be a really strong game, I just think that odyssey had a few more options on what to do… if you wanted to raid camps or barracks… or ship battles… there’s a ton to do in odyssey. Where as Valhalla is a little more… raid… build settlement… do story line.
Id say Odyssey was more fun, that was a great game.
This one is really highly rated and it's good! It's not very linear so I get that people could be put off. It's real good though.

The story has always been shit. The idea graphic enough memories to simulate entire worlds would be stored in dna and there’s these fags that like to jump into piles of leaves from impossible heights in the past with gay wrist blades and hooded cloaks is ridiculous. It’s not even remotely plausible sci-fi. How tf did they go from Splinter Cell to that? Nothing was worse than randomly getting pulled out of a world at certain points to do some pointless bullshit in the present with some weak gay character. I thought the games got better the more they disregarded that bullshit and just visited different time periods.

The story is pure trash, and always has been. that "real life" segment is the dumbest shit anybody wrote into a game.
It seems purely designed to rip you OUT of your immersion and remind you, you are NOT really playing a pirate (or whatever the version is you're on). Fucking dumbest shit ever.
These office scenes add NOTHING to the game.
