I know a little about Sayoc Kali, but nothing about Atienza. I understand that Atienza has a lot of similarities to Sayoc Kali. Does anyone have experience with this system? I'm interested in finding out more about it.
I am not familiar with eighter one but I bet you'd be better off with "Bastardized" kali. Its a system that only requires you to learn to defend and attack about four angles with no fancy-shmanzy disarms or cool figure eights, etc.

Having trained in both Atienza and Sayoc Kali, I can give you a little more detail into either of the systems.
One thing I can say is that although both groups work very closely with each other, they are independent and stylistic differences exist between them. If you have more specific questions drop them here and I will do my best to help answer them.
