THE COMPETITION:
ACR 2007 will be a qualified-rank circuit comprised of 4 rounds. Each round will take place in the months of January, March, May and June.
Competitors will accumulate points throughout the 4 rounds in order to build rank. In the end, the highest-ranking competitors in each weight category, either by belt or experience, will be awarded first (Champion), second (Runner-up), and third-place medals and diplomas.
ABSOLUTE RANK COMPETITION:
Included in the ACR 2007 will be an Absolute Rank competition. One for competitors up to 170lbs and one for those above 170lbs, lightweight and heavyweight respectively.
In the Absolute competition, the first 3 rounds (January, March and May) will be qualifiers so that a rank may be built. Only the best-ranked athletes will compete in the final round.
Competitors interested in participating in the Absolute Competition will also be required to compete in their weight categories, either in "BJJ" or in "Submission", except for black-belt and No-Gi advanced athletes.
In the final absolute circuit round, which will take place in June, the best-ranked athletes and some invited competitors will compete for money prizes.

BUILDING YOUR RANK:
Competitors will accumulate points throughout the circuit in the following way:
Competitors will receive 5 points for registering in each round. They will also receive 10 bonus points if they compete in all rounds.
- Bonus Points are not valid for the Absolute Rank. First place in each category receives 9 points. Second place receives 3 points. Third place receives 1 point.
DIVISIONS:
This competition will be divided into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Submission tournaments and is open to kids, teens, adults, masters and seniors.

WEIGHT CATEGORIES:
Absolute Rank Competition - BJJ (Gi): 170- and 170+

Kids: 14 years and under
Juvenile: 15 - 17 years
Adults: 18 - 30 years
Masters: 30 - 40 years
Seniors: 40+ years
ABSOLUTE RANKING DIVISIONS: (170- and 170+)
PURPLE BELT AND INTERMEDIATES:
The 7 best-ranked athletes in each weight division in the first 3 rounds of the Absolute Competition quality to fight in the Absolute Ranking Finals for Cash Prizes.
There will also be a final qualifying round for competitors who did not make the top 7 in their division during the first 3 rounds. The winner of the final round will qualify to fight in the Absolute Ranking finals for Cash Prizes.
BROWN BELT:
The 5 best-ranked athletes in each weight division and 2 invited athletes will compete for prize money.
There will be a final qualifying round for competitors who did not make the top 5 in their division during the first 3 rounds. The winner of the final round qualifies to fight in the Absolute Ranking finals for Cash Prizes.
BLACK BELT AND ADVANCED:
The 4 best-ranked athletes and 3 invited athletes will compete for prize money.
There will be a final qualifying round for competitors who did not make the top 4 in their division during the first 3 rounds. The winner of the final round qualifies to fight in the Absolute Ranking finals for Cash Prizes.
Ranking tie-breaker criteria (in case of number of points tie):
Greater number of first-place finishes
Greater number of second-place finishes
Greater number of third-place finishes
Greater number of rounds competitor participated
WINNERS PRIZES FOR ABSOLUTE RANKING COMPETITION:
BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU:
Black-belt: $2000 for each weight division
Brown-belt: $1000 for each weight division
Purple-belt: $500 for each weight division
SUBMISSION:
Advanced: $2000 for each weight division
Intermediate: $500 for each weight division
