First, Gigueto won his match by decision. Heard he tried for a lot of submissions througout this bout.
Big win for Gigueto!
Gesiasd "JZ" Calvalcanti vs Bart Palaszewski
Next up, Gesias "JZ" wins by standing guillotine choke at around the 1 minute mark against Bart. Nice win for JZ. He is a tough tough kid. Great things are in his future.
Thiago "Pitbull" Alves vs Jason Chambers
Thiago "Pitbull" Alves dominated this match. Hit a big knee early on. Went to the floor where Jason tried working guard, Pitbull stayed in half guard, and threw punches. Fighters got back up, Pitbull landed more good shot standing, then took Jason down again. Pitbull landed more big blows from half guard. Ref stopped the action to check Jasons eye, and they decided to continued where Pitbull kept up the attack. Verbal submission 4:37 of the 1st round.
To Jasons credit he continued fighting even after he had sustained some damage to the eye.
Great job by Pitbull. There seemed to be a lot of hype regarding this match and Pitbull was able to pull out a strong win.
Congrats to all the competitors who fought tonight and thanks to the guys at Ironheart Crown for having us out there.
shawnzr- Results got called into me as they occured. If I meesed up somewhere about Jason getting hit in the nose instead of the eye my apologies. Not sure about the knee whether it was illegal or not, first I'm hearing about it. Bottom line, both guys fought hard. Best of luck to you and your team in the future.
why the hell was I warned above for my statement about them being proud members of Steinerwear? Steinerwear is a sponsor of all 3 individuals. Why was I warned again?
Fearless Goat
p.s. If I am going to be warned for stuff like that I can find a million things to report people for on here.
I just saw the tape of Pitbull vs Chambers. The knee definitely landed just after Chambers hit the ground, but didn't look to me like it affected the outcome of the fight. Chambers jumped right up, showed no ill- effects from the blow and immediately said he was ready to go. There was no bleeding at all at this point.
A minute or so later, Pitbull landed a big right hand square on the nose and took Chambers down. Chambers immediately grabbed his nose and the blood began to flow. The ref stopped the fight for the doctor to check Chambers and the bout was allowed to continue, but he could not get through the round.
Maybe the knee did more damage than it appeared to (it was a big shot and he may have just tried to tough it out), but it looked from the video like the right hand was the shot that broke the nose and did the damage. Maybe Chambers can come on and give his version since only he knows for sure.
Either way, both guys look they are going to make some noise at welterweight.
Big weekend for ATT. We had 3-0 in Chicago, 2-0 in Boxing
at Florida and 1-0 in Tampa with our Muay Thai coach. Total,
ATT went 6-0 !!! About Chicago, good begining for Andre
Gigueto. GZ deserves everything, he is a hard worker and
will go very far. Pitbull proved he's back after a knee surgery
in a fight that had a lot of hype. We all expect to see his UFC
debut very soon. Way to go ATT!
Thank's everyone help me for this fight and gave me a support! Special thank's to GOD, my teammates and coaches, Dan, Ironheart Crown and Steiner Wear!!!
