att: dehghani

don't let the haters get to you. Iran has a rich history in wrestling, and it's great you're trying to spread MMA there.

It's not about spreading mma. It's about spamming the forum with the same crap on a regular basis.

www.ufciran.20m.com

i don't think dehghani's english is good enough to understand that he's spamming. it looks like he's trying to open up a discussion about it, but he doesn't know how.

Let's get this discussion moving:

I agree with Sioux, he seems like a genuine fellow trying to make MMA happen in Iran, he embodies the true spirit of what this sport is about, and what this website is here to promote.

He is literally doing more for our sport tham almost everyone who posts here.

Ali,

I am interested to view the footage of Masood Marofi defeating Behrooz Khaja Vandei via "Head Lock With Foot."

What can you tell me about these iUFC fighters? Which ones kick ass?

What are you doing here:

Isn't this type of thing frowned upon in Iran?:

Please tell us all about your rewards/prizes/certifications etc.:

As soon as GW frees that country from the mullahcracy that is running it now you guys are going to see some of the best fighters come out of iran. Some of their top wrestlers aren't even allowed to wrestle because they are NOT religious zealot. Half the population has cauliflower ears and 70% of the population is under the age of 30.

Those fuckers love their combat sports and I've never seen a culture so ready to drop what they're doing just to fight. Fuckers with knives in the middle of traffic. lol.

On that note, deghani's spamming is horrid.

"On that note, deghani's spamming is horrid."

He's still learning mma.tv norms, give the man a break, he is singlehandedly carrying this sport in the middle east. Huge inspiration for anyone who dreams.

"he is singlehandedly carrying this sport in the middle east."

I thought the women carried everything over there?

I'll reserve the possibility that he is in fact just honestly trying to help the sport, but a few obvious questions need to be answered...

It seems pretty obvious the guy is NOT talking to Dana White and Dana isn't scheduled ever to visit one of their "ufc's" yet he constantly spams that idea

His posters have his event co-sponsored by Pride. Again, it's pretty obvious that is NOT the case, so what's the deal with that?

I mean, it's one thing to say "hey, I"m doing a UFC like event here, support me" but it's quite another to knowingly spread false info, which he has to know he is actively doing

This guy is unique and he is doing more for the sport than anyone on this thread and most people on this board.

Let the man dream, and let him promote the sport.

-jk

i don't know what life is like in iran, i can only imagine. but if he's knowingly spreading false info, then let zuffa and dreamstage's attorneys worry about it. dehghani's not harming you in any way, is he?

no, not harming me at all.... but I don't take him at all seriously, in fact, I suspect he's just trolling

Trolling? Have you seen his website? He's for real.

I don't think he's even doing anything improper regarding trademark and copyright, beiong that he is operating out of Iran, a country that the UFC and Pride have most likely not established IP rights in. I don't think Iran iss in any treaty with Japan or the USA either which would help the UFC or Pride in this case.

The man is the real deal InfoTrader, how am I trolling, I support the man, his use of the UFC and Pride logos etc. is shocking, but that's about it. CLearly Dana is not going to Iran to support this event, but shit, this guy is making moves, recognize that troll.

word.

So, if Iran isn't in an international agreement RE copyright and intellectual property, he isn't technically breaking a law, but it still isn't honest any way you slice it...

I never visited his site, nor do I care to... but I've seen trolls who have had elaborate efforts... if he isn't trolling, he's not grounded in reality with his "Dana is coming" PR campaign... or with his Pride logo on his UFC posters.

"So, if Iran isn't in an international agreement RE copyright and intellectual property, he isn't technically breaking a law, but it still isn't honest any way you slice it..."

It is shocking to see that behavior, because we are used to a certain way of life, certain norms and mores, but don't judge this man based off of our conceptions of normalcy. He is literally from a different world, recognize what he's doing right, not what he is doing differently.

"I never visited his site, nor do I care to... but I've seen trolls who have had elaborate efforts... if he isn't trolling, he's not grounded in reality with his "Dana is coming" PR campaign... or with his Pride logo on his UFC posters."

YOu obviously just want to bash this man otherwise you would go to his site and see what the man is doing out there in Iran, extremely progressive stuff all things considered. And no, I'm not taking devil's advocate, because it's Ross on this thread, I'm being serious. The only people dumb enbough to care about his claims of haveing Dana come to his event are those who take it seriously. Overlook the startling stuff which you are not used to seeing, and focus on this man his dreams, and his dedication to MMA. He ain't some cookie cutter mma/TMA promoter style guy, he's different and that's what I like about him. He dares to lead, not follow.

Combat sports are big in Iran... amazingly popular. IN case you didn't know, I had basicly the entire Iranian San Da team defect to my school for a while, so I know a lot of Iranians and have heard a lot about what is going on over there. IT is a shame we US people don't have more contact with Iranian people, it really is a case of a government not representing the people, not even taking good care of them really... but you'll forgive me if I don't take him too seriously, and if I don't agree with his style of promotion....
