NAGA Miami No-Gi Team Champions 2640 Points!
This is almost double the points of the second place team!
NAGA Miami Gi Team Champions 1450 Points!
ATT won by a wide margin of 450 points
NAGA Miami Kids & Teens Champions 3130 Points!
We are really proud of the performance set forth by our kids and teens.
They did an INCREDIBLE job of winning the team title by an ASTOUNDING margin of 1950 points over the 2nd place team! Thats more than double the point total of the runner-up!!
The huge success of our team is without a doubt attributed to the help and participation of all the students, parents, instructors, competitors, sponsors, fans, and eveyone else who played a role in helping us grow. It is because of them that we are able to achieve so much.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!
American Top Team
2007 Naga Miami Team Champs!
CONGRATULATIONS ATT!
ATT 4 life!! That was a statement!!
Congrats! Where are the results?
"i guess the 30 day free trial didnt help the imposters"
Classless and uncalled for, not only is that a jab to another well respected school but it takes away from an ATT congrats thread and makes it a pizzing match thread. Well done..
BigRob- Really man, no need for that. My post is to congratulate how well our team did. Not tear anyone else down.
ATT FTL had a great showing. While only being open 8 months, we had 15 competitors come out and fight and we left with 16 swords and medals. While some only fought in 1 division, we had several adding divisions at the fight and even stepping up in division skill levels to fight more. It was a great day.
Some highlights include:
Daphne Wilcox: 1st place gi, 2nd place no Gi
Dave "Lil Evil" DuBoise - First place in No Gi, Third place Gi, Gi masters 1 st place
Jung Koo - first place no gi(5 fights later), 4th place gi(2 more fights)
Sean Thompson - First place Gi, Second place gi masters( might have won Gold but injury forced the fight to stop)
Eric "Big E" Sturdivant - 1st place no gi, 1st place gi white belt, 2nd place gi blue belt.
Victor Delgato – 3rd Place no gi
Chuck Matsoff - 2nd place gi
Anthony Collins - 3rd place Gi
Jarrod Hahn– first place No Gi
Dan Sisko – 2 nd place Gi
Other people that fought hard and definitely deserve to be rewarded for their effort:
Drew Smith, Sean Klonaris, Lee Callazo, Stephen Gundlach, Alex Gruenberg
Thank you also to everyone that came out to support your teammates. It really makes a difference.
Great showing everyone. We are very proud of you.

i know that ATT is a great school, but did you guys have the most students at this event?
" know that ATT is a great school, but did you guys have the most students at this event?"
agreed! but, congrats none the less, it was well earned. and even though there is obviously more students in ATT competing (mostly due to their chain of schools scattered through out the south), it only means for all the other schools to be more determined and motivated to be able to knock them off the winnin platform and earn more points.
and BigRob1...dude whoever you are, that was totally not needed. totally classless and rude, seriously takes all the credit to the thread.

Bigrob1 - I can only assume your assault is on FFA, being that we offer the best 30 day free trial in MMA (you can check it out at www.bestfreetrial.com ). I'm not sure what you mean by imposters though?? But you couldn't be further from the truth of you think that doesn't help us. We have more and more people everyday that join our academy and I could not be happier with our progress. Kind of sad that statement is coming from you since I do know you.
But I have to admit I was kind of suprised with the results of this tournament, I thought that they were going to use the same scoring format as last time where a chain couldn't join up (e.g., 6 schools as one team). In any case, you guys continue to raise the bar and should be proud of your performance.
Bigrob is a jack ass who cleans pools for a living his site is linked to his name... he probably can only afford a free trial... haha
TTT for the best team in the world

I was surprised with the results as well, last N.A.G.A kipp told me that the ATT chain couldn't join up, Avellan you got your # wrongs( I counted 14 franchised schools), great competition but I wish the point system was based on individual schools results rather than adding points from 14 different locations.

ATT!!!!!
Congrats to ATT!!
Good job
The UG is a funny place.Last time ATT came up without our full strength
and we didnt win, then people came up here and talked a lot of shit like
"The dragon is shrered(sp?)" or "ATT is not that good..." or "They've been
having problems..."
Now we go with our full force, clean the tournament with a LARGE margin
of points in ALL divisions, and people still come and give excuses like the
ones above.
When are we gonna be good for you guys? We never talk bad about other
teams. We didnt come here last time and post that NAGA crew split us
without us know so we couldnt win the team trophy. Did we? No, we took
that to our favor and this time we CLEANED THE HOUSE.
Thats life, somedays we win, somedays we lose. MOVE ON.
BigRob called us imposters... Rob is a guy who was welcomed at our gym, free of charge because he was the friend of one of the fighters. On top of that, he used to visit my home and hang out with my family for UFCs. This is the same guy who always comes up to me to say hi at events... but I'm the imposter? lol
parrumpinha, I think people are complaining about how the last tournament the points were tallied per individual school... and how now that has changed for some reason. I personally think it would be more impressive if the individual ATT gyms were 'cleaning house' rather than adding up all the teams together. Winning ten gyms against one really doesn't redeem your last loss in my opinion. ATT Coconut Creek probably beat FFA this time around though, we didn't place as much in the advanced division as last tourney, I congratulate you and your team for that, but I wonder if they scored more than Popovitch.
And congrats to you guys and Popovitch. I don't see what is the big deal about losing one of these events, I feel very fortunate to have such great local competitors like Popovitch and ATT, the tougher the competition, the harder we need to train.
Last time with the individual gym standings things were more competitive point-wise, I obviously preferred it that way :)
Congrats to ATT and to all the guys and girls who competed and to those that placed.
Marcos Avellan
There is no denying that ATT is a phenomenal school with a fantastic team of competitors but the results do tally a bit skewed when you consider all the separate schools as one entity. With that aside a huge congrats goes out to each individual competitor that participated. All those involved set aside time to prepare for this event and did their best and they should be acknowledged for their efforts regardless of age, skill level, placement or affiliation. When it comes down to it, NAGA is a 1 on 1 competition and I would like to congratulate all those that competed.
