Back at UFC 123 when it was at the Palace of Auburn Hills I had a chance to go but I was in high school and didn't really have money so I had to pass on it.
I want to attend a UFC though at least once in my life. Is it worth it? If I buy seats in the "middle" section of the arena is it a good view? Is it worth it? Or is it better off to go balls out and buy first section seats?
How is it without hearing Joe and Goldie? How annoying are the fans around you? At football games the idiots behind me always spill beer on me, does that happen there too? How well can you hear Bruce buffer during fighter and winner announcements?
First, how good are your seats? Good seats make the difference of watching the screen, or watching the fights in the cage.
You can buy these little radios, and still hear the commentators, I recommend it. It really added to my enjoyment.
If you can go to all the prefight stuff, weigh ins, meet & greet. Fun stuff, and you get to meet people in the fight game.
If you want to meet people, wait around after the event. I stuck in the arena after a few I went to, and got to meet a lot of people, Jones, Buffer, Bravo, Serra, etc.
If theres an option stay at the hotel the UFC booked. I was working out next to Dana, while not a huge deal it was very cool. Brittany was running on the treadmill behind me, I didnt mind the view in the mirror. Buffer was in there working out, Hackleman.
Have fun! Drink beer, be merry.

I just wanted to know what it's like overall from others

VU for the response though. I like the idea of that radio thing you mentioned I'd probably get that for it
Couple of pointers:
- Choose seats that view the cage from the corner of the arena - diagonally on if you like. That way you avoid staring at a cameraman and instead can see between them. That was the biggest distraction to me at my first event... they really block the view!
- Unless you have money to burn, you really don't beed front row or ground level seats. I did that once at a UK event, and honestly preferred my view from the first tier up. If you can get seats at the very front of the first elevated level, you're all good.
Get the little radio thing if they offer it so you can listen to rogan and Goldie. It was nice for the event I went to, to fill in the gaps in action or describe something that was happening that was otherwise obscured for some reason.

If it's just a small device with ear buds I'll definitely get it
Lil radios
I would not buy main floor seats, you can't see well from them, you will end up watching the big screen. The best seats are center court about 15 rows off the floor. Those are the seats that are usually set aside for the UG section.
Go early, you will see a bunch of MMA people (fighters, trainers, etc) walking around.
Plan on making a day of it. The events I have been to started mid afternoon and didn't let out until 11 or so. There is a LOT of down time between fights. Plan on talking with the people you are sitting near (hopefully they will be intelligent about MMA).
Radio is tiny, pocket size. I think it came with crap earbuds, but Id just bring my own.
I really recommend no floor seats. Just go for the first row elevated seats or higher. I wouldnt do nosebleeds though, unless money is tight.
Oh yeah, and sign up for the newsletter at least. So you can get good seats. They will send a code to buy seats.
Both events I've been too either reed Harris or Dana white hooked me up with tickets front row where the stands start. Usually right behind all the computers. Best seat in the house imo.
For 199 I got cheap tickets. One thing I've realized is those arenas are a lot smaller than they look on tv and pretty much any where you sit you feel right there.
Bass slaps.
In the air and bohemian rhapsody plays non stop.
At UFC 97 I spent 450 bucks per ticket for floor level, for UFC 101, I spent about 100/ticket for upper deck and far preferred the upper level. I've been to a couple of more UFC events and a few Bellator ones and I think the value for upper level is far better. It didn't help that at 97 the group behind me was rolling all night and one kid only woke up sporadically to throw up in his beer cup, but that's another story.
When you sit down low like that you can't really see all of the action... Or at least I couldn't. Up high there is no ref or camera man to block your view, plus with the extra money you save you can buy some whore at the after party a bunch of drinks only to have her go home with the guy in the glittery affliction Tshirt anyway (not that that happened to me or anything) so I'm all about the cheap seats.
have fun man. Get there early watch all the fights and enjoy the shit out of it.
Expect to look up at the big screen for most of the night.
Expect to see a few fights in the crowd.
Expect to meet fellow fans who are assholes, sharing their mediocre often I'll informed information and technique talk to their friends.
Expect the hair on the back of your neck rise when the bubba song appears on the big screen.
Go - you'll love it.
It's a little odd without commentary and you'll watch the screens a lot.
As far as atmosphere goes they are alright but not the most crazy event you could go to, I can't crowd surf a UFC crowd like I can a heavy metal gig crowd loll
So, for example, i have Detroit Lions season tickets (don't laugh at me) but i do enjoy watching the football game more on TV. Do you think i'll feel the same about UFC then too? Cause if so i may not go out of my way to buy tickets like all the way out in Vegas. But if it ever came around here again i would still want to go just that one time
I've sat on the floor, arena, and mezzanine sections. Floor seats close are great bc there's usually fighters attending the shows and they are all super cool with picture requests and quick small talk.
Arena are the worst seats IMO. Not a great view.
Mezzanine seats are better bc you can look down on the cage and see all the action. If the arena is 15-20k seats it's a good view.
UltimateKeyboardWarrior -This^... I have been to over 100 events since 94'. UFC, Bellator, Strikeforce, KOTC, Pride FC, WFA, local shows. This rule of thumb applies to the stadium shows. However smaller venues, there is not a bad seat in the house.

If you are not a huge MMA fanboy or money situation issues, I would stick to your own area. No need to travel far distance.
Go to everything you can on fight week. Weighins, auto signings, open workouts, etc.. You may have to schedule everything out due to events overlapping and at different locations. If you want event items, best to buy at the weighins so you are not wrestling with it come fight time.
Most important rule: Find out the time each event is starting(weighins, fights, signings, etc) and get there atleast an hour early if not more. I go 2hrs early. There will be people lining up.

You are making a mistake by not attending at least one UFC in person. It is a really cool event. I am not saying you ned to fly to Vegas, but at least road trip to Chicago - there is one here this summer. All it will cost you is gas money and one night in a hotel.
It is worth it.
UltimateKeyboardWarrior -I definitely want to before I die lol. Problem is they've been to Michigan like twice as far as I knowSuper Saiyan God Vegeta -
