Attn: DVD Retailers

I am getting out of the DVD business. I have sold almost all of my stock, but I still have 2 boxes of the Luiz Palhares Closed Guard Attack DVDs. I would be willing to sell them for $120 per box (30 DVDs per box).

You can learn more about the Luiz Palhares DVD here: http://www.practicalgrappler.com/linkedpages/palhares.php

If you are interested, email me at rsparks@creativedevelopment.com

Owner, The Practical Grappler

I started this business to help my friend, Doug Smith, sell his tape, because I could run a camera, edit the footage, make the cover artwork, and build a website (I was not excellent at any of these, but good enough to make and sell some reasonable tapes), and he really wanted to give it a try. I continued it to help my instructor Soncea, when he wanted to make some DVDs, and he also asked me to help his (and my) friends Luiz and Jucoa.

I have a decent job, and have never made much money selling DVDs. My part in this DVD "business" was to film, produce, make the website, take orders, handle problems, and ship DVDs. I suppose I could have done better if I had time to make a serious effort to advertise and promote the DVDs, or even to build a modern website, but with my full time job, and near full time commitment to training, this was not possible.

But it was reasonably fun (Since I love BJJ), and I got to meet and work with some cool people. But, I am little tired of it after more than 10 years of working at it for essentially nothing, and no one else involved really wants to continue either, so I am calling it quits.

Well not THAT much, but I am way over committed already, so it was time to let it go. I have a full time job, I teach my own BJJ club twice per week, and I have a wife and son, and I also try to train BJJ and Judo for myself as well, so I don't have any time to spare!

Not sure how you would feel about it, but have you thought of selling the rights to your current DVDs to anyone?
