Attn: Lane Collyer and Ga MMA:

It has been brought to my attention that Mr Lane Collyer has mass emailed the following and also made a post here on the UG with the post/ email below. From the many emails that I have gotten telling me about it, they all say it was massed emailed but nobody can see the named so that I can reply to them all. As a last resort I am left to post here to attempt to be heard on my end:

Hello Gentlemen,

Moments ago ISCF Representative Mr. Matthew Waller called Mr. Charles Nutt who is the Main Event Fighter for my upcoming show on May 5th, 2006, asking him to pull out of my event, and instead fight opponent Donnie Blue (Team Praxis) on his show in Macon. This is another reputable act for an ISCF Representative. First we all find out that an ISCF official is a Convicted Cocaine Trafficer (Moses), then a water bottle throwing incident by the ISCF State Reps. wife (Colonel), and now another Representative (Waller) that tries to sabatoge another fight promoters upcoming event in Georgia. Not to mention that the former ISCF World Advisor recently called the Athens Clarke County Police Department about my fighting events being unsanctioned, uninsured, illegal and should be "Shut Down". I am asking the State Athletic Commission to look into this matter as well as my attorney Mr. William P. Holley III.

I will not tolerate any more attemps by ISCF Representatives to ruin my promoting career, and will continue to "Fight Back" against the constant negative propaganda from the ISCF Board Members.

It would seem that Mr. Fossum needs to do a little "house cleaning" because the reputation of his organization is tarnished forever. Look for more facts about the integrity of the ISCF soon.

Sincerly,

Lane Collyer-CEO Extreme Kickboxing/Extreme Mixed Martial Arts

Below is my reply back to you Mr Collyer;

Very Nice Dr. now allow me to retort,

First of all I contacted my fighter 2 days ago, his name is Donnie Blue and is on military leave in Fl, just to check in to see how he was doing. He ask me what did I know if anything about a fight he has coming up. He tells me that he has heard there has been talk of him fighting on Mr Collyer's event but he knew nothing about it. Mr Blue tells me there has been talk of this on a message board. He then expresses to me how he is down there for several weeks and has no training time with anyone. Being his manager I understand his concern and I then tell him I will look into it. I find there has been some talk on a public message board about it. The statement from his trainer Cam McHargue said "it looks to be 98 % a done deal" yet after talking with Mr Blue, he was never told anything about this from McHargue or myself.

Blue then tells me he would love a title shot but he does not feel the time is good as he would just be getting back from leave and would like more time to prepare for Charles Nutt.

I knew of another promotion coming up and talked with the promoter, I agree that both fighters are well deserving of a title shot which it was for on Collyer's card for an ISKA title bout. This promoter said he would try his best to make both fighters happy if they both wanted to compete on his card which in turn would allow Mr Blue to prepare.

I then call Mr Nutt and ask him where things stand with him on Collyer's card, he said he is committed 100% to it, then I tell him the above about Blue being out of town and another option that may be better and not cheat either fighter out of the other not being prepared 100%. Mr Nutt said he needed to talk with his trainer about it and would call me back..

At no point did I try to take this bout from Lane Collyer and place it on my own event; I have no event planned for anytime soon. Being an ISCF rep, Lane should have done a bit more investigating before pointing fingers and using a motive. I would have suggested the ISCF events page as a good place to start. The motive at hand was to allow my fighter to train a bit more than just jogging while on leave.

Truth be known, Lane and I do not get along because of our past yet when we are in the same room we are both civil to one another. He amazes me with his superior spin doctor routine.

Something I do find ironic is how I get this email because it was sent to me from a few friends that Lane also sent it to, yet he didn't send it to me because he didn't want me to be able to defend myself. When Mr Fossum and Lane had issues he invited Lane to an open meeting where he would be given the chance to be heard while Fossum was in Atlanta, however Lane did not show up for what ever reason, but at least he was given the chance to talk and be heard. I guess if I didn't have such good friends my voice may have never been heard. I even had one friend say I should just call Lane and talk this out on the phone, but as I explained to him, if I did that do you think Lane would have done the right thing and contacted each one of you back to explain what I had said? I know better...

Matthew Waller

should get interesting...

here we go again......

Why do people in the GA MMA scene have to resolve everything like they were 12 year old girls?

brock,

We are probably a product of our environment. If you have any ideas on this running better, please let us know.

ttt.... Wow, GA MMA keeps the excitement coming!

I don't, and I admit my post came out a little premenstrual as well.

The frustration I have lies in the fact that we really have a great MMA community in GA. I have been able to train with some really cool people from Hardcore, Praxis, Velocity, and Jacare. We have fighters from GA that have fought in the UFC, King of the Cage, AFC, and just about every other big name event. I got have Forrset punch me, watched a UFC event with Charles, and have been tapped by a plethora of BJJ blackbelts. Then I talk to people who drive 90 minutes to train with a BJJ Blue belt and think they have it made.

We have a tremendous community here and I would love to see it represented as such on the MMA board.
Not to sound to much like a Baptist preacher but perhaps we need to go back to calling people directly when they offend you. If they can't or will not speak to you then take someone with you as a witness and go see them to resolve the dispute. If that doesn't work then just stop doing business with them but you do not have to make a public issue out of it.

The best solution might be for some people to forgive others for the past problems and the rest to forgive people for the current one and then everyone get over it.
This is the longest post I have ever written and I am sorry for the rant.

ding,ding round 2

I resent what Blake said and I now challenge him to a fight.

Adam Singer

I have made a lot of friends since I began fighting, but Matthew Waller is atop the list. He may be retarded and a border line pervert, but his honesty and integrity have never been in question with me. I don't know anything about this current situation with Blue. I am simply stating a fact about my friend's character.

Nah.... he's retarded. Don't let him fool you.....

That was actually a great post by Brock.

The issue was perhaps handled incorrectly by Lane in haste and Matthew did what he did to clear up the issue with everyone that had become involved by a mass emailing. The issue has been cleared up.

Peace-
Cam

Brock,

Here I thought you were an outsider casting stones. Oops, my apologies.

Great post. I owe you one free pass to "Summer Heat" in Valdosta on 6/24.

thanks,
jc

That would be great. If I don't get killed in my fight next week, I'll see you there.

I agree with Scott. I would also like to Fight Mr. Adam Singer, then Mr. Corsey. I enjoy getting a beat down now and again.

Tim

"border line pervert"

100% pervert.

LOL...

Setting the record straight - I represent Charles Nutt and Team PsychWard - Muhsin Corbbrey...Matthew Waller did contact Charles Nutt and asked him to pull out of the main event title fight with Donnie Blue on Lane Collyer's promotion next month in order to fight on another promotion approx. 2 weeks after Lane's promotion. The answer to Matthew's request was "no".

Is your name Najeeb? Are you the same guy that informed Lane last week that Team Praxis was taking our fighters to the Colloseum Combat show and that Blue was scheduled to be on the CC card and could not fight Nutt on Lane's show despite the fact that I had earlier posted that Blue was being pulled from the CC card? If so, then this is starting to make a lot more sense...
First of all I would like to know what makes you a spokesperson for our team members. I would also like to know what your personal agenda is against Matthew and our team. Does Muhsin know what your agenda is? I have always found Muhsin to be of outstanding quality as a person and I find it hard to believe that he would entrust someone to handle his business that makes rash decisions that start political drama before doing some research into the facts.

To set the record straight concerning everything about Blue vs. Nutt...

Blue is on official Air Force business in FL. He has been there for the past 2 weeks and will be there until the 22nd. He is doing some intensive team training to prepare to be deployed back to Iraq (he has already done one tour of duty over there) and has been, for the most part, inaccessible.

The Colloseum Combat people had misinformed us about some issues concerning a title for their event concerning Blue and Nutt (as I am sure Nutt is aware of, also). Blue and I talked about that before he left and we also discussed the possibility of making the fight happen on Lane's card. Blue expressed concern that due to his absence that 1 week to prepare to face someone of Nutt's caliber was simply not enough. He expressed that 2 weeks to prepare (which would be possible for the date of Lane's show) would be better. I assumed that it was a "go" as far as Blue was concerned. I still have not spoken to him since then.

Since that time I set up the fight for Blue vs. Nutt to take place on Lane's card. For the most part Matthew had been out of the loop on the whole Colloseum Combat deal. This was me trying to play manager, which was a mistake, and I accept the blame. I informed Lane that I wanted to speak with Blue personally to make sure that he was good to go but I told Lane that it could be considered 98% confirmed. All the while Blue had no clue that it had been set up and Matthew had no clue that I had even been in contact with Lane.

In the mean time someone on our team had a conversation with Blue over the phone and informed him that the fight had been set up. Blue contacted Matthew and informed him that due to the stress of the training program he is in that he doesn't feel he will be physically or mentally able to prepare to take the fight. Matthew, not knowing that Lane has even been contacted by me, calls Nutt and informs him that Blue will not be prepared to fight on the 5th of May. This was an issue because we all knew that Nutt was ready to go pro and was prolonging that for a chance to fight for a title. Knowing that, Matthew brings up the possibility of the fight "maybe" happening on Ken Coffey's card on the 13th (for what it is worth, Blue has stated that he probably will not be ready to fight again by that date, either). At no time did Matthew ask Charles to pull off of Lane's card. At the time Matthew did not know that I had spoken with Lane and told him that the fight could be considered 98% confirmed. As far as Matthew knew the match between Nutt and Blue had not been confirmed yet so he was looking out for his fighter and trying to make the match. He was in no shape or fashion trying to sabotage Lane's card. As far as he knew Charles was going to fight on Lane's card against "whoever" and then maybe the Nutt/Blue fight could happen on a later card. This is where the misunderstanding came into play.

I am fully to blame here because I stepped into the role of "manager" and left Matthew out of the loop for the most part. There was also a miscommunication between Blue and myself before he left. Perhaps when he left he felt he could come back and prepare but as the reality of the program that he is in set in he realized that he wasn't going to be up to the task.

I have informed all parties involved that Blue will not be allowed to face Nutt on any other card due to this discrepancy. Due to the time line of Nutt's desire to go pro, it's sad that we may never see the Nutt/Blue fight. I do not feel that it's right to pull my guys off one person's card and then put the same matchup on another card. That's political sabotage and I don't believe in it. I pulled Blue from the CC card due to the misleading information we were being given from the promoters so I had no ill feelings toward pulling him from that card and setting up the match on Lane's card. Lane has been nothing but straight up with me so I would not feel good about doing that to Lane, and neither would Matthew. This is basically a miscommunication between myself, Matthew and Blue and unfortunately Lane was an innocent bystander that got pulled into it. Again, I am prepared to take all the blame.

Blue has told Matthew that he will need ample time to recover and start training again after this military training program before he can be ready to fight again. He is scheduled to fight on Ken's card against Lamar Thomas (a rematch from Ken's last card in Columbus that Thomas has requested) and we hope he will be ready by then. Thomas is not of Nutt's caliber so maybe he will be ready. Bottom line is that he will not be fighting Charles Nutt on Ken's card.

If Charles wants to remain amateur for a while longer then we will be glad to give Lane the opportunity to make the match on a later show.

Peace- Cam McHargue- Team Praxis

Reply from the "Lanester"
I believe that I have the right to be upset with Matthew Waller, and I would appologize to him, but it seems that Charles Nutt & Matthew Waller are calling each other liers now, and I have no reason to think that Charles Nutt is lying about this.
Cam - Thank You for supporting the sport no matter what letters of the sanctioning body are. I try to work with them all and only the ISCF has made it immpossible. Only a few individuals want the ISCF Monopoly back and I am one who does not. I think that you made a huge step to progress Georgia MMA by taking the fight on David Oblas's Event, and you are to be comended for that!
I am really sorry to hear that Donnie Blue will not be able to take the Title Fight, and I do understand why. It would not be smart to take such a big fight without preparing for it. Let me know if you want someone else from your camp to fight on May 5th, 2006 on my Athens Extreme Fight Night IV Event, and I will do my best to match them. I believe that I may be able to convince Muhsin to hold him Amateur for a little while longer. How about we match Blue/Nutt (HEHEHE) for my show in Augusta or Gainesville or back in Athens. I have plenty upcoming shows that we can put that fight on, and I promise that the judging and refereeing will be just.
Lastly, I will be staying nuetral regarding the sanctioning body issue and welcome all fighters from all camps to compete in my events. I will continue to promote the sport with unbiased, fairly matched/judged events. Now that the Georgia Athletic Commission is taking over Amateur MMA & Kickboxing (including muay thai) they will now be policing the promoters, fighters, matchmakers, managers, ect....It is not my right to pass judgement, nor police the sport.
I would like for Cam, Matthew, Muhsin, Najeeb & myself to sit down and set things straight for the "greater good" of MMA in Georgia.

Thank You all,

Lane Collyer
