Matt,
I'm an AI for the the 35th Sig Bde Combatives program and I've got to say I'm a bit confused by the disparities between the Scissors Sweep from the training packet and the Scissors Sweep from Brazillian Jiu Jitsu. In the training packet you grab the elbows of your opponent, open your guard, shift your hips, place your leg on the ground, drive the other leg across the waist (leg like a belt, foot like a hook), THEN you grab your attachments and scissor your legs. In the Brazillian Jiu Jitsu books I own you always grab your attachments first, then complete the rest of the steps to finish the sweep. Could you please clarify how you would like us to teach the sweep?
Thanks,
SGT Carter
