That is a list of interesting shit that you can do with chromecast

That is an instructional on how to setup Kodi and chromecast.
I hope it all works fren! Have fun streaming Pron from your computer to your TV.

....and that is just a little extra something to get you what i think you are looking for...
Holy shit you read my mind...I did a quick setup today and couldn't get it working and I was too busy to keep fiddling or research it...
i tried real quick yesterday as well...i got everything to work but kodi with localcast.
rebooted my phone...now it all works
?
The chrome browser should casting now built into it.
Wutang -The chrome browser should casting now built into it.
it does...I think you have to install the plug-in. Unfortunately for me Amazon and Netflix won't let me stream from the Linux version of the chrome browser....I am guessing because it is too easy to record from a Linux computer so it blocks my browser from connecting...

Have you tried spoofing the UAS? Should be pretty easy to get a UAS for a windows 10 Chrome user. :)

did a little googling and found that site...looks like it may be time to upgrade..
What's this all mean to the computer illiterate guy...me?
unless you have a Linux operating system...nothing....
I mean about the chrome browser thing...
no sir....if you are using windows you should be fine
Shoot. I thought this was for the TV where you wouldn't need that chrome device thingie (don't get confused by my technical jargon).
if you don't have a smart tv, fire stick or roku, you will need chromecast
recently, I bought the harmony universal remote. works great with the lights, tv, receiver and fire stick...chromecast needs some more development (can't play, pause, stop or pick a movie on chromecast). I also got the Amazon echo....kind of pissed there is no integration with the echo and the fire stick. seems like that would be a no brainer because they are both Amazon products....can only use the voice commands on the fire stick with the remote. Fingers crossed for new firmware and features!
imo, if you have an android phone get a chromecast. Pretty much the best bang for your buck. End of this month, rumor is, they'll be unveiling the 4k chromecast so you can expect that $35 Chromecast(v2) to lower in price. :D
The one caveat is, if you want to stream netflix and have amazon prime you should consider a Roku 3. It comes with a remote and it has casting capabilities from android devices. It's platfrom agnostic so unlike the appleTV, you don't need an iPad or iPhone to stream.
I don't have a 4k tv and I don't really care to have one anytime soon so the 1080p stuff are all going down in pricing. Though it looks like the market is trending towards the HDR tvs instead of the the 4k stuff, for now. Thankfully all the 4k equipment is driving down 1080p!
I am leaning more toward the fire stick from amazon. all the controls work from my harmony remote on prime and Netflix media and can even install Kodi right on top of it (project for this weekend). I think chromecast is the best on a budget but if you have Amazon prime, you should get the fire stick or fire tv. It would be an injustice not to mention how much I like the harmony universal remote. it controls everyting! One remote for my tv, receiver, lights and firestick functionality is fantastic. I should have gotten one years ago!
Installed Kodi on my firestick using the following websites first set of instructions:
http://troypoint.com/how-to-install-kodi-on-fire-tv/
Easy to install, the whole thing took about 15 minutes without having to connect remotely with a computer. It works with my Harmony remote and i will probably never leave my house again....
Edit:
After the install i added the Exodus repository and the movies had no sound. I rebooted the firestick from the settings and sound began working again! nice knowing you all...
