For anyone who has been on The Ultimate Fighter show, or nearly appeared on it and/or knows details of the show...
We all know about the 6 figure contract and we know about the 5k (or sometimes 10k) bonus's for finished fights and the 25k for fight of the season...
However - do Zuffa pay you guys any kind of wage or money up front for the 6 to 8 weeks while you're in the house and on a reality show?
Sure I know people will say that getting trained by the best in the world with the best facilities in the world is payment enough... But many of these guys say they quit their jobs and sell their possessions to get on the show and let's face it - being trained for 8 weeks isn't going to pay the mortgage.
So what's the score? Do Zuffa match any basic wage for 2 months while on the show?
Some guys may not win a fight let alone the show but are still out of work for 2 months.
Thanks in advance for any answers
I've wondered the same thing
I thought it was $500 weekly?

I know there are a few fighters on here who can chime in... Roxy? J-Lau?
It would be interesting but the closest thing I could find to fact and I have it by a very reliable source, Dana promises them an hour drive in one of his ferraris for 5 weeks of there time, as an incentive if they impress him he will wind the windows down!
Sorry I'm abit before my time we are now in 2021 and as Dana has got older he has got tighter I know what ur thinking how is that possible.... Stay tuned....
Do you want to be a fucking fighter?

Fighters get $500 a week that gets mailed home every week
Undisclosed bonuses are sent home in the months between filming and the finale as well since they are barred from fighting for anyone else in that time... When my buddy Dustin was on in 2011 (season 14) I believe they were paid 2k for the 6 weeks, plus all kinds of bonuses off the record.

There are bonuses outside of submissions/KOs in fights/coach's challenge?
If so, glad for them.

Also is it the same for all? Did Roy Nelson get this? An established fighter? What about the guys on TUF 4?

Answers dammit!
I heard Zuffa brings in "escorts" but I cannot confirm it. In fact, I suspect I may have just made that up.

It's the fighters job to then record that income for tax purposes. There is nothing shady going on behind the scenes. This is why you rarely hear UFC fighters complain about pay. Only they know how much they make, and the public can only guess.
really ?

Fighters get paid weekly like Edgar said. They mail your check home so someone can pay your bills. I don't remember the amount
