My friend just picked up this game. I already have this game. When I use my disc, I can see many active games but when we use his disc, he can usually only see a couple.
We did tests and it happens consistenly, on the same hardware, same ISP, everything the same, except for my disc being a "Not for resale" disc and his is not.
Anyone else run into something similar?

Yep. That is what we did at first. Then we both got our PS2s and ATVs in the same house, same Internet connection, same router and it still did't work. He'd see 1 active game, I, and everyone else on the chat would see 10 or so active games.
