I stopped going to work this way. I was traveling west on big beaver crossing woodward in the morning. I know the picture is small but you should be able to see that big beaver is 2 lanes crossing woodward (left lane straight, right lane straight or make a right) but after it crosses it drops down to one lane less than 100 feet down. I stopped going this way because it is super busy in the morning. You will have 20 cars stopped at the light in the left lane and another 20 in the right lane. The problem being that 10-15 of those cars in the right lane will try to go straight and merge into the left lane despite there being very little room to do it. I had switched to this route to avoid construction but after seeing near accidents every single day for two weeks I decided I would rather deal with the construction.
So do you guys have any intersections or stretches of roads you avoid?
It gets better, Big Beaver is exit 69 for I-75 in michigan.
We have a town called "intercourse" in PA, one called "blue balls" or something, and another one that's like those but can't remember it right now... you should make a thread of strange or funny city/town/street names....

I avoid the Vegas spaghetti bowl almost completely. Not an intersection, but it is a good place to get killed, especially on a motorcycle. Which almost happened about a year ago.
I've realized that most people drive extremely timid in these areas to the point that they create traffic jams. I usually just drive over agressive and everyone will just get out of your way. The Long Beach traffic circle is a great example of this.
