Back to Judo comps!

Well, I guess for us blind folk they opend up the Pan Ams. I absolutely hate the way BJJ tournaments and organization( IBJJF is). So I am going to go back to Judo comps. I may not do as well but better than sitting around doing nothing!

Jason, Glad your back. I haven't seen you compete and was looking forward to it. I know you have excellent grappling skills. I do see the Pan Ams are the next big event for V/I. Have you given any thought to Masters Competition? I will be at the World Cup (to watch World Class judo players in person) in Miami on Aug 27/28 and the US Open is on the 29th and they added the Masters brkt. 2 of my budies are competing in the US Open Masters. Just a thought.

One of the coahces suggested it. I may do it since it will not some more rust off. I think it is a good idea

Hope to see you there. And as you mentioned the judo tournaments are run on time and well organized. This will be the first A level judo event in the US since the 1996 Atlanta Olymics. I have watched all the top level players on DVD and now I will be able to see them in person.

@Jason... I agree with you regarding BJJ comps... I have been to one bjj comp that was run well ( actually better then most Judo tournaments)...Most bjj comps are very chaotic...and the officiating...don't get me started....Judo comps are most definately better run

I love doing both akthough Judo feels like it has more comraderie(sp?) amongst competitors
