Bad back

So I'm 27 and last year my back began to get thrown out a lot. Maybe once a month when it's bad. I've had 2 just in this February. I was in a car wreck 8 months ago, was diagnosed with whiplash, and the vertebrae in my mid back barely move at all. I'm seeing a spine cracker, and got a few exercises from a PT, but I just threw it out again, after sitting around and talking.

So, what do people with bad backs do to strengthen them? I've been out of grappling for a very long time, but I wanna get back in once I'm healthy enough to do it.
Thanks.

i went to an acupuncturist as well as an chiro... he used trigger pint therapy and i am back to normal... besides the two compressed discs in my lower back... i stretch like a mofo now to avoid injury and try not to go too hard... i am easing back into grappling now and it has not been too hard... just make sure your partners know that you won't be going hard and work more positioning than actually rolling hard

I saw a Chiro (seriously sceptical but the Dr wanted surgery and the pain was insane...). He was good, got my range back, helped me feel a lot better but couldn't fix me totally. He was honest with this.

I saw an oesteopath (Sceptical also) he was totally BS...

Find a good Chiro/ Oesteopath.

I had a 'miracle' weekend back in May last year where my back 'got a lot better' and the pain subsided.

I'm careful with my back and do back exercises. But I've ALWAYS done these exercises.
