When comparing the last UFC and Pride you have to keep in mind a few things..There is a difference between a bad fight and a bad event...
PRide even on there worst cards has several solid or at least intriguing match ups..Will the fights be what we expect? Who knows, unless its a Shannon Ritch fight they could be great or they could be lemons..
UFC on the other hand sets the events up for failures. There all one sided very obvious fights that no one other then the people who are fighting (and there training partners and friends) really thinks "wow this could be a good fight." That is why in the last UFC favorites won all of their fights.
