I am petitioning cbs to not include bill goldberg as part of the broadcast for the up coming mma show to air on cbs.

i am up to 380 signatures thus far and only started on it yesterday. myself and all of the ban goldberg supporters will refuse to support any mma orgs that allow bill golberg to be part of their broadcast.

bill golberg is a terrible commentator /interviewer and has no place in mma. i just refuse to watch any show or event that he is on. please support this thread if you agree and if you disagree well each to their own. as for me after golbergs statements about ricco rodriguez i lost all respect for him. he has no place in mma and he is not anyone that should be bad mouthing a real fighter.

I think a guy that trains Muay Thai and Sambo has every right to be involved in MMA. I'm not saying he doesn't SUCK on the stick but you could still be stuck with guys that don't have a damn clue about ANYTHING at all. At least Goldberg does have a background.

I don't see what the problem is with Bill to be honest. He's enthusiastic and has some face recognition...

and he isn't afraid to do interviews and actually train with the guys.

He was NEVER known for his work on the stick. You pretty much get the physicality when you deal with him as opposed to the mic work.

shit i train bjj, wrestling, kick boxing and muay thai that doesnt make me a f'n good commentator. also he is just simply a tool. he sucks enough said. who will support the damn ban bill goldberg petition?

I don't believe I said he was a good commentator. Maybe people think you're a tool as well? it's an opinion. I hate certain fighters because they are "thugs" or whatever. Basically you want to ban Goldberg because he rubs you the wrong way. FOR WHATEVER REASON he rubs you the wrong way. And that's fine.

Bill is a COLOR commentator.

Same as Jesse Ventura,Dennis Miller,or whoever.

He didnt go to journalism or broadcasting school or anything.

He is used to present a unique perspective on the sport,and I dont think he is the greatest,but he certainly is'nt the worst.

And if you think he does'nt get name recognigion,and attract fans to Showtime cuz of who he is you're crazy.

maybe you should try and ban cecil peoples FIRST!

even IF goldberg sucks as a commentator, he's not f-ing up fighters lives
by throwing out completely rediculous scores and screwing them out of
money for wins, etc...

I watched the Renzo/Shamrock show again last night.

They made a reference to Bill being a wrestler.

Bill said, yeah, but that was fake.

I respect him for saying that in a way.
