Belfort: “I want to be the first to conquer UFC title in three different categories”
After the polemical report with Maurício Shogun and Yoshizo Machida (in the 2o edition) that motivated many pages of debate in the internet foruns, PVT Mag brings in it´s 3o edition a cover report with Vitor Belfort. Driven by the possibility of breaking yet another UFC record (Belfort was the youngest fighter to win in UFC and now wants to hold the championship title in three different weight classes), the Phenom welcomed us to his karate gym, and apart from reminiscing about the greatest moments in his career, he discussed his hotly anticipated title bout against Anderson Silva.
In this issue´s special feature, we visited jiu-jitsu´s muse, Kyra Gracie, at her home in Rio, and found out that Renzo´s nephew already began her boxing training in preparation for her debut in the MMA stage.
The Heroes of The Ring feature presents the controversial Pelé Landi, who imparts previously unheard stories of his days in IVC and Chute Boxe. In an inspired afternoon, the Cuban recalls his best fights, talked about the best Chute Boxe times and drafted his squad of all-time Brazilian MMA greats.
Closing our third issue, we devote Alonso´s Treasure Chest to a tribute to the two greatest icons in jiu-jitsu history, Hélio (who passed away on January 29th, 2009) and Carlson Gracie (passed away on February 1st, 2006). Two legendary forces of the fight world, without whom we certainly wouldn’t be here talking about jiu-jitsu or MMA.

I have always wondered about this. They anounce Randy as being the only UFC Champ in two weight classses but Belfort was the heavyweight champ when he lost to couture and I thought he got the title after the 205 fight where he cut Couture's eye lid.
Belfort was the tournament champ. There was no such thing as weightclasses back then
I think Diego is right...
Belfort won the UFC tournament, don´t won the belt
Vitor? I like the guy but who the fuck cares when Kyra's in there!
WOOHOO KYRA PICS!
Yeah! Kyra Gracie is amazing!
Tourney Champ is correct for Vitor at HW.
This is diff then at a weight class belt/champ.
Also, Randy is not the only winner of a belt at two diff
weights. (he is the 1st to do it)
BJ is the 2nd to have won a belt at two weights.
Although, Vitor will be the 3rd when he gets the belt from Silva. ;)
Diego stole my name - Belfort was the tournament champ. There was no such thing as weightclasses back then
There were weightclasses when Belfort made his debut at UFC 12. It was the first UFC with weight classes. Vitor won the 4 man HW tourney that night, Bohlander won the under 200 lb 4 man tourney that night, and Coleman defeated Severn to be crowned the Undisputed UFC HW champ.
Im pretty sure Belf was just another winner of a mini-tourney. Coleman got the first HW belt against Severn.
