If what Bjorn is saying is true, then it wasn't a bogus offer. They matched the base, signing bonus, and if there was a PPV they'd give him the same percentage. It only is bogus if they have no intention of ever putting him in a PPV. Time will tell, obviously. We can't know that now.
MMALOGIC, why are you so quick to believe Eddie Alvarez when he "emphatically" says he is willing to come back to Bellator? He has also emphatically and repeatedly said he wants to fight the best fighters in the world, and he's also said the best fighters in the world at his weight class are in the UFC.
Anyone who has never had business dealings where contracts are involved may not understand how they work.
My basic point is that it's easy for Bellator to be made out to look like the bad guy in this situation when you have fighters saying they "just want to bang, bro, and Bellator won't let me bang."

I realize you have fought for them before so you know firsthand that they treat fighters good. But some of there tactics just seem to downright screw a fighter for the good of Bellator. I don't agree with calling them bellashit though and I'd be happy to read about there side of the story. But at this point... It just doesn't seem right to me.
They have always treated me and my friends who also fought for them, amazingly well. I'm not one of their top fighters so I'm not under the same circumstances. But I've been in the same locker room as Eddie Alvarez and was at the hospital the same night Curran won their belt and they were both treated like kings by Bellator.
I think MMALOGIC just has a preconceived anti-Bellator stance

all the evidence points to bellashit being a bellashit. Who would believe Rebney over Alvarez? you dont have to believe alvarez... common sense says that if the offer was really matched he'd take it instead of sitting out for a year and being bogged down in a legal battle... you're a fighter so you know more than most he'd take the deal if it was really matched instead of sitting out for a year.
Alvarez even said he'd take it for a little less than the zuffa offer.
Name one legal battle Bjorn Rebney has won after suing all these people? He is king of worthless lawsuits.

Good to hear. I have watched bellator since they first got a tv deal so I want them to succeed and prosper because its the only big org I can say that about. But at the same time I don't wanna hear about fighters getting sued or having their name dragged through the dirt. So I'm somewhere in the middle on this.

We can use history as evidence and I believe it is clear bellator has a clear pattern of Fucking over fighters. It is ridiculous to believe it is just coincidence or the fighters fault when so many examples exist.

whether you believe Bjorn or Eddie, it's clear that Bellator is not the example that many have made them out to be when it comes to mma business practices. Viewers/fighters can complain about UFC pay, but you rarely hear about these disputes with Dana and co. (only fighter I can think of is Hansen after the Pride buyout).
MMALOGIC -Sign Jonathan Brookins, dont give him a fight, he gets a fight somewhere else, loses and then gets released from bellator. Brookins goes on to win some fights and gets a spot on tuf and bellashit MMA sues him.
Sign Tyson Nam... keep him on the bench for months and months. never give him a fight, release him. He goes out and finds a fight on his own and wins ironically against Dantas and Bellashit MMA sues him...
Signs Roger Hollet... poor hollet finds himself in Bellashit MMA legal pergatory.
Signs Paul Daley... Paul cant get a visa, Bellashit MMA sues him.
Signs Dave Herman... Herman finds himself in Bellashit pergatory.
They sign Eddie Alvarez... Eddie fulfills all his obligations and submits an offer for them to match. Bellashit MMA cant match it so they pretend to match it in order to sue him and keep him from working and feeding his family..
I feel sorry for what King Mo, Mike Chandler, Pat Curran, and the rest of the guys are gonna have to go through.

What kind of legal stance do u think the UFC would have in this situation if they were #2 and Bellator was #1? Do u think the UFC would let guys do whatever they want or would they try to have guys hold up to their end of the bargain knowing that a show with deeper pockets is waiting to snatch their fighters up? ZUffa had matching rights on arlovski... arlovski submitted the affliction offer and zuffa realized they werent gonna match it so they let him go. Zuffa could have sent him a bogus offer claiming to "match" it and kept him on the sidelines to fuck with him and affliction but they didnt.
Zuffa was 40 million in the hole... #2 to prides #1. And they never have done what bellator has tried to do to tyson nam, jonathan brookins or eddie alvarez.
Eddie said emphatically that if Bellator really matches the offer he'll sign with them.
Which legal case has bellator won? They sue people just to fuck with them...
Arlovski isn't the best example to use, since the UFC shelved him for a year before having him fight Jake O'Brian on an untelevised undercard fight since he wouldn't sign an extension with them.
I would like to see Alverez in the UFC but NOT if it means he has to go through a year or more of legal battles.
