^ only a moron could compare UFC's litigious stances to some of the examples above...

What kind of legal stance do u think the UFC would have in this situation if they were #2 and Bellator was #1? Do u think the UFC would let guys do whatever they want or would they try to have guys hold up to their end of the bargain knowing that a show with deeper pockets is waiting to snatch their fighters up? I think Bellator is trying to get what the fighters have agreed to give them.

ZUffa had matching rights on arlovski... arlovski submitted the affliction offer and zuffa realized they werent gonna match it so they let him go. Zuffa could have sent him a bogus offer claiming to "match" it and kept him on the sidelines to fuck with him and affliction but they didnt.

Zuffa was 40 million in the hole... #2 to prides #1. And they never have done what bellator has tried to do to tyson nam, jonathan brookins or eddie alvarez.

Eddie said emphatically that if Bellator really matches the offer he'll sign with them.

Which legal case has bellator won? They sue people just to fuck with them...

Arlovski isn't the best example to use, since the UFC shelved him for a year before having him fight Jake O'Brian on an untelevised undercard fight since he wouldn't sign an extension with them.

Of course they put him in a prelim, but iirc the reason it took him so long to get a fight was because he was injured. I think there was also a fight with Vera that was supposed to happen in there that fell through.

Vera vs Arlovski would have been sick. Phone Post

Tracey leseter is there general counsel. She should join the ug Phone Post

You mean Tracey Lesetar, queen of GWU Law School???Shiiiiiiiiit.

^ yeah... they offered arlovski fights... he didnt just sit for a year. that's a myth.

the other guy people keep bringing up is Huerta... Huerta was offered a fight but decided he wanted to take some time off and do some acting. that's why he was out a while before his last fight.

speaking of huerta... zuffa had matching rights on him as well. bellator signed him. did zuffa submit a BS offer to tie him up in court? no...

everyone is free to google 'Rebney SRLB' for more info on Rebneys general history pre-Bellator

OP could be dead on with Bellators dealings but the name changing just reeks of grade school retardation. Like you and your two tween friends debated on calling the new kid Smellator or Bellashit before agreeing that adding the swear word gave you more impact, even though the Smellator was slightly more clever. Now your running the playground yelling it out and telling everyone what you decided.

I just never understood its draw here.

"Hey look guys instead of Chael lets call him Phael, see cuz they rhyme, do you get it?! it's funny because they rhyme!"
"Yeah! Phael should go cheat in StrikeFARCE, see what I did there? I changed the force to farce..."

Sorry it's lame, you could do better. Phone Post

I'm watching the Spike show, but I'm not going to support them; without a Nielsen box, my viewing habits don't help anyone.
