Bellator in talks with Goldie

Chamatkar Sandhu from MMA Fighting

"Coker also said the promotion is in talks with former UFC play by play commentator Mike Goldberg."

Nice

I bet they would treat him highly just to thumb their nose at how the ufc dropped him.

Who does play-by-play for them now? That guy better start looking for a new gig.

Hell yea

jimmy and goldie would be much better. Smart move

Hell yes.

Hope this happens.

I hope they hire him

No disrespect to Goldie and I'm sure this isn't the most popular opinion but I actually like Bellator's commentary team now. I think Grande and Smith have a nice chemistry.

Kind of hope Goldie finds some new adventure, outside of MMA. I always thought he could become a host/presenter for a sports show of some kind.

He doesn't have some sort of no-compete clause? Like part of his severance package was that he couldn't commentate MMA for a year or two?

Yeah, that guy who replaced wheelock sucks

Fuck yeah, make it happen!

"Eddie is doing much better in this round"

Yes Goldie, yes!!

I would agree that it isn't popular opinion... At least personally speaking I don't like Bellator's commentary team or their general production. They definitely have the talent to be a strikeforce but they need to make some changes in my opinion.

PRIDE had the best production then Strikeforce then the UFC but bellator isn't on the map IMO. Goldie could probably help it.

He got fucking fired...lol at no compete clause.

'You're fired! And you can't get another job, please sign this non-compete before we kick your ass out the door.'

At MOST he got severance with a clause that it stopped if he got another job.

Love goldie to be back in. He did his time, and ufc did thumb their nose at him.

No reason he shouldn't have gotten a goodbye. None.

Damn straight. That's what you get after over 19 years of loyal service to a company.

They cant attach his legally mandated severance to non-compete conditions.

They could offer a bonus package for him to not compete for how ever long, but it would have to be pretty lucrative.
