Bellator needs to do a LW GP in 2023

Can’t see a better 8-man or 16-man for the promotion to run. The time is now for a LW GP.

AJ McKee is now up a LW.
Patricky Pitbull is champ.
They just signed Barnoui who is the giant ROAD GP champ.
They got 15-0 Usman Nurmagomedov.
They got Tofiq Musayev who won the RIZIN GP and Alexander Shabliy
Bendo, Primus, Outlaw, Mamedev around as well.

Maybe Goiti Yamauchi wants to drop back down for the tourny, who knows.

With Patricio defending the FW title vs Borics, hopefully Pico can fight the winner of that.

Patricky is defending the LW title vs 16-0 Nurmagomedov in Nov.
Bellator GP winner AJ McKee is moving up to LW and fights Carlyle in Oct.
ROAD GP winner Barnoui is fighting Picollotti in Oct.
RIZIN GP winner Musayev just KOed Outlaw.
21-3 Shabliy just KOed Primus.
4-0-1 PFL fighter Mamedov just dropped a SD to Bendo.
Gadzhi Rabadanov is now 3-0 in Bellator.
Bendo fights Peter Queally next month.

You have to wonder if a GP is being talked about for after this Patricky vs Nurmagomedov title fight.

Guess the issue was already raised with Coker by someone in the press. Good deal. Sounds like it will be a go.

Along with champ Patricky Pitbull, Islam Mamedov, Benson Henderson, Brent Primus, and others, there’s an increasingly tough field at 155 pounds in Bellator. Which bodes well for a potential tournament there.

“You know, it’s definitely under consideration. I think the chips are falling into place, and that division is looking really solid. I think a tournament would be amazing,” Coker told Cageside Press on that front. “But let’s finish the bantamweight tournament, which is going to be really entertaining, that’s one of the announcements we have in a few weeks, about the semifinals. And then we can decide on next year’s tournament.”
