Bu bu butttt weight classes exist for a reason and 3 pounds makes the difference between literally ripping another fighter smooth clean in half and getting ripped in half.

Well he did not compete at LHW like Randy, DC and Vovchanchyn (forgot him the first time) but like them he is a true LHW who chose to fight at HW.

He's not a true LHW, though. His natural weight is of a 235 pounder. There is no saying he could get to 205 at all, let alone preserve his strength or speed advantage.
Small heavyweights have historically done well in MMA and it's not because they were natural light heavies, it's because they were heavyweights without the speed disadvantage or technical short comings.
