Presuming Bubba Jenkin's drops down to 145 once he hits a wall of an opponent like Rick Hawn or Marcin Heald that's another awesome prospect to the division. If you think these guys only fight bums or records mean nothing...Check them out, they are impressive guys with good opponents and real credentials. It's insane how stacked this division is, believe you me. Not a bellator enthusiast? Just try to keep your eyes on this division's fights you'll be sucked in.

FW has always been there best division, a bunch of killers

I wonder if Joe Soto will fight again for Bellator, I remember he had an eye injury or something at one point

Rad Martinez FTW

Shah's highlight is insane....So insane. That guy has some of the most ferocious striking in mixed martial arts...Like fuck, he's a little hellion.

Shah's 2 loses are Curran and Nurmagomedov. Those 2 guys have been killing it. Phone Post

I want to see an elite striker go toe to toe with Shah...Badly I was hoping Curran would and this is coming from someone who thinks Curran's guillotine is submission of the year thus far. I complain when fights are only standing and think standups on the ground are very bad an bias for the sport.

Shah's striking is insane though, very fast, unorthodox open stance an all. Heaviest hands at 145lbs is there even an argument? So confident, counters really well, feints well, smashes kicks, insane hands and lead leg kicks for having a Thai pedigree. I hope he gets matched up vs Pitbull or Nunes or someone. Would be fun.

C'mon blue, post those videos for me? Please.

I was pretty disappointed with the Curran fight. I was ready for a war. Shah had just come off the Rad Martinez win and Rad has good TD's and has an insane chin. Rad has a very ufc style. If that makes sense.
After hearing Rad's back ground its hard not to be a fan. I hope for the best for him.
After seeing what Curran has done I believe he could do some serious damage in the ufc. Phone Post

I think Curran is a top 5 Featherweight no doubt right up there with Aldo, Frankie and Mendes and above Cub, Lamas and Zombie. I honestly think Patricio is a top 10 level guy ( he's in my top 10 ) as is Strauss which Curran has beaten both. I think Shah is a top 20 guy, a stud which he beat in a dynamic way. Guys like Ricci, Palomino, Huerta, Imada, Warren are no push overs either Curran has probably beaten better competition than anyoned at 145lbs besides Aldo at the time he KTFO Sandro, Sandro was a very legit top 10 guy. Frodo is a top 15 guy in my book too.

Oh man, Akop Stepanyan is fighting Shah next, that's actually pretty fucking sick striking battle but Shah's power will be way too much. Hope Akop steps to 135lbs if that goes poorly for him, he's young an small, crazy fast too. He can benefit from the drop. Lacks what Shah has in abundance...Power.

You forgot Cyborg.

Cool. I've only seen Akop fight Fabiano. Always look forward to Shah's fights Phone Post

Featherweight tournament begins on Bellator 99 in September as follows.

Patricio Freire (18-2)BRA vs Diego Nunes (18-4)BRA

Desmond Green (8-1)USA vs Frabricio Silva (18-2) BRA

Shahbulat Shamhalaev (12-2-1)RUS vs Akop Stepanyan (13-5) RUS

Joe Taimanglo (18-4-1)GUAM vs Andrew Fisher (12-4-1) UK

Not a bad tournament, their Welterweight and Lightweight tournaments are looking quite exciting too but their Middleweight Tournament is quite the flop this year.

Patricio Freire (18-2)BRA vs Diego Nunes (18-4)BRA

Definitely looking forward to this fight also Phone Post

Definitely their best division. I'm surprised they're doing Friere/Nunes in the first round. I would have expected that fight in the final.

Anyone know what the story is with Straus? Are they gonna reschedule his title shot or is his legal status preventing it?

Not sure, he was complaining about not getting a fight on Twitter but he just got arrested, not sure what is going on

The good news is he received his bjj blue belt last month
