How do you use them w/focus mitts?

i'm curious about your 1-2-3 teep roundhouse combo...

are you calling "3" a left hook, and if so, are you drawing the leg on the hook in order to create the space to be able to teep, then throw a round kick?

no I wasn't clear. left hook then a rear leg front kick then a roundkick.

ex. 1-2, body hook, r. cross back upstairs.

How do you like to hold the pads to feed uppercuts?

either. contact can vary.and change out the focus mitts for thai pads for power.

re: uppercuts - i like to hold the mitts face down with my thumb close to my body, a little below the neck (about 6" below my chin) . also very important to keep the pads near their intended target. nothing worse than a mitt holder that holds them out away from the head about 4' apart!

i love these threads it motivates me to train :)
