(CNN) -- It's a bust for actor Ben Affleck at one Las Vegas casino.

The actor was "banned from playing blackjack at the Hard Rock casino in Las Vegas," a source close to Affleck told CNN on Friday.

Affleck was "not booted" from the casino as other reports have indicated, the source said. Rather, the source says, he was asked to leave after casino security told him: "You are too good at the game."

The actor was told he could play other games at the casino, the source said.

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas did not immediately respond to a CNN request for comment about the Tuesday incident.

The source did not say whether casino security accused Affleck of card counting, which is not a crime. It is frowned on by casinos, and it can lead to a ban by a gambling establishment.

Affleck was in Las Vegas with his wife for a quick getaway before the actor begins shooting "Batman vs. Superman," the source said. Affleck has been cast as Bruce Wayne in the upcoming film.

Riveting. Absolutely riveting.

I like to leave'em thinking.

An all-points bulletin has been issued to Las Vegas’ biggest casinos accusing notorious gambler, Hollywood megastar Ben Affleck, of card counting, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

Affleck was barred from play shortly after 10 p.m. at the Hard Rock Casino in Vegas on April 28 “due to moving his money with the count,” according to an alert from a local security firm acquired by Star magazine and provided to Radar.

Afleck “uses perfect basic,” a common term for introductory card counting, according to the alert, “but also takes insurance according to the count. Uses black $100 cheques to keep track of the count while playing.”

Another alert issued the next day to major casinos in the area claimed that Affleck is “currently suspected of advantage play,” according to a copy of that document.

“He has been observed playing blackjack at multiple Las Vegas Strip properties, and is suspected of moving his wagers with the count,” the report notes. “He was reportedly backed off at one off-Strip casino,” referring to the Hard Rock incident.

But trouble had been brewing before that. An April 22 internal email from the Games Protection Manager at the Wynn and Encore casinos, Rob Olivetti warned recipients that “Ben Affleck (the actor) … Was informed that he was being way too obvious moving his money with the count. He was spreading $100 -10K on the double decks and $0-20K (2@10K) on the shoe games. As of now, he is still being allowed to play per casino management.”

Affleck’s gambling got him into trouble in the past. A member of the notorious Hollywood secret poker ring, he lost $400,000 to movie mogul Ron Meyer in one game.

He's a regular in the Tobey MacGuire home game where celebrities get together to crush businessmen that can fork over a huge buy-in to play with Hollywood elite.  The celebs then roll the poor suckers, take a selfie with them to feel good, and move on to the next donk.  Affleck is a serious player.

too obvious with the swings in bets. should just go and hit up the bac tables

I always hated that "moved his bet with the count" bullshit. Oh, you mean he used math to improve his odds in a completely legal fashion? Die in a fire, you crooked fucks. Phone Post 3.0
