Ben Saunders vs. #1 Japanese WW at UFC Ft. Laud.

UGer Ben "Killa B" Saunders takes on UFC newcomer Takashi Sato on April 27 at UFC on ESPN3 in Ft. Lauderdale.

Tapology rates Sato the #1 of 161 Japanese Welterweights. He's 14-2 with 11 finishes, including 9 (T)KOs. Overall, including his 2 losses, 88% of his fights end early.

Ben is 1-4 over his last 5 and is on a 2-fight skid. All 5 of the fights ended in finishes. He's 5-5 during his current UFC run.

Ben gets paid shit by UFC. In 2018 he was paid 23K to show. He did win two post-fight bonuses last year, though. And because he has more than 15 UFC fights overall, he gets $15K Reebok money. Pathetic when your Reebok money is almost the same as your fight pay.

I’m always rooting for Ben. He’s got a good chance to stop the brakes on the Japanese hype train

War Killa B!

Sato is no joke. Will be an interesting test for both.

  • Ben is currently a +180 underdog. (He was +160 against Ellenberger. Jus' sayin'....)
  • Sato is at -220.
  • "Fight doesn't go to decision" is favored at -290. (Both guys' last 5 fights have ended in finishes.)

War Killa B!

Bump for Killa B!

Love to see Killa B back in the UFC imo.

I will never not root for Killa B. I'm a little concerned about the amount of damage he's taken recently, but I watched some interviews of him and he seems as sharp as ever. He definitely has the skills to beat this guy. Ben is super dangerous everywhere.

Agree 100% with OP. Saunders is criminally underpaid.

Wat Ben!

Killa B is the man. A respectful martial artist.
