There are a ton of boxers who've started getting interested in MMA. Same with NFLers, if you think about, the best type of demographic for watching UFC would be these hyper athletic, macho killers that populate the NFL or boxing
I believe that some sharks have been able to get on land and fight the lions..But to a degree, this analogy does not work. I believe for the ones who have never boxed or competed standing at all, it may apply. But there are tons of fighters who have trained or competed in kickboxing, boxing, muay thai, etc.
