Best BJJer in Canada per IBJJF Weight class?

Which active competitors training out of Canada are the best per weight class? To be considered active the competitors should have at minimum competed in the Gi in 2011 or 2012.
Eg for men it would be:

Galo= 126.5 pounds in the GI
Pluma= 141
Pena= 154
Leve= 167.5
Medio= 181
Medio pesado= 194.5
Pesado= 207.5
Super pesado= 221
Ultra= 221+

i'll tell you mine if you tell me yours.
seriously, considering your position in the bjj community im interested in your opinion.

Ill kick it off with my picks excluding Toronto BJJers.

Galo= no idea
Pluma= no idea
Pena= Eliott Bayev
Leve= no idea
Medio= Mario D.
Meio Pesado= Andrew Mcinnes
Pesado= no idea
Super Heavy= David Rothwell
Ultra= Rodrigo Munduruca

whatever alesandro's weight is from tbjj, future superstar.

So this is independent of belt? As someone who is a new fan of the sport with admittedly little but growing understanding I would assert that once your out of white belt the differences in abilities between the colour is not as great and athletic ability comes more into play (with the tool set)...true?? If this is the case then a top level blue/purple could beat a solid brown / black. DeAlonzo Jackson in the states is a good example of this where he went from blue to brown in under 2 years and has torn up each level. So I'll throw 2 names in the mix that I think will achieve big things this year including purple belts and perhaps surprise at their new belt class and beyond... Arther Chandramohan and Joel Hadden

Sorry Pena and Medio respectively

Westcoast are those your picks for their weight class or simply stars on the rise?

weight class but I suspect this is moot as we'll never know until they all reach brown / black. Hopefully some of these existing ones will still be competing when Arthur and Joel arrive at that level and no injuries rear themseleves

westcoastrain I completely agree I've seen Joel and Arthur at local tournaments and they are phenomenal

Arther was in the division won by Alessandro Roman at the Ontario Open.

Galo= 126.5 I don't really know anybody who's ranked above purple for this one
Pluma= 141 No clue here at all
Pena= 154 Based on the recent results Dudu
Leve= 167.5 Jake Mackenzie (if he qualifies as being Canadian at this point hehe)
Medio= 181 I don't know what weight Bruno Fernandes is exactly, but I would love to see him and Jorge fight this one out
Medio pesado= 194.5 It's a close one between Beach and Mcinnes
Pesado= 207.5 Amir
Super pesado= 221 Elder or Osman
Ultra= 221+ Rodrigo Munduruca without a doubt

I've never competed at Medio pesado in any federation tournaments, Ive always been leve except for the last worlds I did at medio back in 2009. I have no clue what the weight class I did at the Ontario Open last year, because I just registered for the division that had the cash prize.

Pick a weight class, you'll be alright kid :)

thats g - Pick a weight class, you'll be alright kid :)

Appreciate it, lol.. Just want to clear things up.

Josh Presley, Alessandro Roman and Dan Hale are all the same weight as Arthur. How exactly can you argue for him being better than any of those three?

I would think Shane Rice at 141 would be tops in Canada & Jake McKenzie @ 167.5

I'm not sure of his weight, but Rob Di Censo's name should be mentioned on this thread somewhere.

Did Rob compete in the gi in 2011 or 2012?

I know Beach has competed at Medio Pesado but doesn't he usually compete at Medio?

Joe Bossenberry should be mentioned at Medio OR Leve
