Best Duo's in NBA history?

@onepunchJD gave me this thread idea.

Nash/Dirk
Jordan/Pippen
Kemp/Payton
Malone/Stockton
Duncan/Robinson
Shaq/Kobe
Shaq/Wade

I feel like the list could be 4X as long though.

Surely the quality will drop off, but there still should be more duo combos.

What about Barkley’s Suns? Who would be considered his #2, KJ? Marjerle?

Magic/ Kareem

Curry/Klay

Only a few seasons, but Carter/McGrady in Toronto

Penny/Shaq

Mourning/Hardaway… I hated them with a passion as a Knicks fan

I thought about that but left it off b/c when you factor in Worthy, it’s not really a duo but moreso a trio, ya know?

Same logic for Curry and Klay. Having Draymond along them makes it more of a trio than a duo.

Great additions. I’m really digging the VC T-Mac nomination. Those guys were JUST coming into their prime when VC left Toronoto. That would have been really cool to see how well Toronto would have done with both of them in their primes for longer playing together.

Side note-I could never get used to see Hakeem Olajuwon in a Raptors uniform. Just seemed so off like brushing your teeth with your non dominant hand.

more of a trio when you throw in Gene Oh Bili

(that’s how they used to pronounce Ginobili in one of the earlier NBA live games)

Danny Ainge / Kenny Smith

Yeah I think you will run into that alot.

Dumars/Thomas

I like this nomination. While I can understand with the other teammates such as Lambeer, Rodman, and Mahorn, that it could lean as a trio or super team, I think there’s more of a gap between the help Dumars/Isiah had compared to the gap that Steph/Klay had.
