Best fighter from your state?

Best is a subjective term, but this my best, albeit debut attempt at naming the best MMA fighter in each state in the union. Where someone is from is subjective too. Make a good case and I can edit. Active fighters only please. State G.O.A.T. is another list.

Alabama: Eryk Anders
Alaska: Jared Cannonier
Arizona: Ryan Bader
Arkansas: Wade Johnson
California: Dominick Cruz
Colorado: Donald Cerrone
Connecticut: Glover Teixeira
Delaware: Retired heavyweight Aaron Brink used to appear in adult movies under the name Dick Delaware. He was from California though.
Florida: Jorge Masvidal
Georgia: Anthony Johnson

Idaho: TBD
Illinois: Matt Mitrione
Indiana: Eddie Wineland
Iowa: Robbie Lawler
Kansas: Tim Elliott
Kentucky: TBD

Massachusetts: Joe Lauzon
Michigan: Daron Cruickshank
Minnesota: Cat Zingano

Montana: Lloyd Woodard
Nebraska: Jake Ellenberger
Nevada: Frank Mir, although a large number of top fighters train and live in Nevada, Wanderlei Silva for example, they are not from Nevada.
New Hampshire: Joey Gomez
New Jersey: Frankie Edgar

New Mexico: Joseph Benavides
New York: Jon Jones
North Carolina: Derek Brunson
North Dakota: Ronda Rousey, although Rowdy was born in Riverside, California, she spent the majority of her childhood in Jamestown, ND, which gives her at least an honorary. But honestly, TBD.

Oregon: Paige VanZant
Pennsylvania: Eddie Alvarez
Rhode Island: Eric Spicely
South Carolina: Stephen Thompson

South Dakota: Ben Nguyen

Not from the US, so I cant really vote. But I still want to witness the butthurt comments against OP's list.

So... IN.

Dustin Ortiz Indiana?

Thought he was out of Tennessee.

Indiana------ I would say Eddie Wineland

Tim Boetsch or Marcus Davis

honorable mention Tim Sylvia

LOFL

Anthony Pettis is from WISCONSIN, not Illinois.

Geography, how does it work?

Askren is also from Wisconsin, not Iowa.

Wow.

Alberta, Canada - Bret "The Hitman" Hart

Is this about what state they were from......or what state they train out of?

Ma - Gannon!?!?!?

Why is DON'T KNOW allowed to be the best in 4 states? Obvious favortisim towards this guy. Do you owe him money or something Kirik?

Ohio is difficult...We got Cody and Stipe

Current fighter or retired matter?

If not then in Indiana I would say Chris Lytle.

If it matters then the active fighters from here that I can think of off the top of me head are Matt Mitrione, Eddie Wineland, and Darren Elkins with Eddie Heading up the list

Kirik dodging the tough questions like usual.

Thanks for all the replies. This is active fighters, not best ever. Where a fighter is from is a little ambiguous to me. I am not sure if there is a widely accepted definition. Glover for example is from Brazil but has been in Conn since before she started MMA or BJJ is married and lives in Conn. So is he from Conn? But then if it is just where people live, Nevada and California has half the sport. Any arguments one way or another gratefully received.
