Not from the US, so I cant really vote. But I still want to witness the butthurt comments against OP's list.
So... IN.
Dustin Ortiz Indiana?
Thought he was out of Tennessee.
Indiana------ I would say Eddie Wineland
Tim Boetsch or Marcus Davis
honorable mention Tim Sylvia
LOFL
Anthony Pettis is from WISCONSIN, not Illinois.
Geography, how does it work?
Askren is also from Wisconsin, not Iowa.
Wow.
Alberta, Canada - Bret "The Hitman" Hart

Current fighter or retired matter?
If not then in Indiana I would say Chris Lytle.
If it matters then the active fighters from here that I can think of off the top of me head are Matt Mitrione, Eddie Wineland, and Darren Elkins with Eddie Heading up the list

Kirik dodging the tough questions like usual.
Thanks for all the replies. This is active fighters, not best ever. Where a fighter is from is a little ambiguous to me. I am not sure if there is a widely accepted definition. Glover for example is from Brazil but has been in Conn since before she started MMA or BJJ is married and lives in Conn. So is he from Conn? But then if it is just where people live, Nevada and California has half the sport. Any arguments one way or another gratefully received.
