Can anyone post brief reviews of the best instrustionals and links to get them? Thanks and regards

I am looking for predominantly bjj.

Everything Roy has, especially BJJ 201, is excellent.

I like Bolo's Back Escapes, Dynamic BJJ, and Half Guard especially.

www.straightblastgym.com

They have great products for grappling & MMA

I've always gotten super-fast service from Island, and their DVDs are well done.

I can't write much in the way of reviews, but the ebst ones that I have seen lately (in no particular order):

  • Eddie Bravo the Twister. great entertainment value

  • Roy Harris BJJ 201. Outstading information, unique format of instruction.

  • Grapplearts.com - anything by Kesting is good- advanced setups , counteres and finishes.

  • Caesar Gracie - beg, med, and advanced. Graet techniques with the details you need to make them work in sparring.

OOooh, I forgot Stephan Kesting. MY BAD!

I haven't seen the Yoga DVD, but I love the other 3.

You can check out WhiteBelt.org and get a look at just why Roy Harris, Michael Jen, Stephan Kesting, and others garner such accolades.

Thanks for the info so far. I have many SBG tapes and Jen tapes, however, I have nothing in the way of Harris and Kesting. Hmm, Christmas:-)

Obviously I like my own videos (www.grapplearts.com), but you can't go wrong by getting Roy Harris's videos either.  They helped establish a new standard for BJJ instructional videos, and his attention to detail, both technically and in video production, is fantastic.  His site is pretty cool too (www.royharris.com).

Regarding reviews, my two favorite sites are www.whitebelt.org and www.sfuk.net .  Also if you do searches on mma.tv for specific videos you can almost always find review threads.

The Margarida instructional is great.

go to

go to the fight forum. There is a Video and Book Review Forum with a ton of reviews.
